vod not working on streampro g1

Trying to setup a g1 for a friend,have live tv but vod doesnt work says server unavailale..any ideas what im doing wrong or does this box not support vod?

I did get this one up and working but can only see the menus as I am using a Mouse to navigate and it does not let me get into correct menu to get connected. That damn remote is no where to be found :eek:

This box does have an AppInstaller and a File Browser and either of those will install an app in .apk form.
You'd have to find the ijk .apk app and install that thru a USB device and use the AppInstaller.

Important thing thou is we need to know if changing Players is a function that is allowed by this StreamPro device.

I believe standard remove some of the button dont work like servers etc. they only work with original remote came with streamepro.

still trying to figure it out.have the streampro remote and a remote for a vidstick and they both work.downloaded the apk to usb tried to install and says cant install.

anyway am connected now.

And yes Ryu , that is correct. But I havr like 5 or 6 Buzz remotes of different types and found one that does most functions, The Server button thou takes me to the Quick View app.
But that is okay because I can access to server in other ways :)

I do not see how we can change the Player.
I do see in settings that we can change the video resolution and etc. I changed it 780 HD but made no difference.

what I should do next instead is to connect the mag254 box and see if that one plays the VODS
That box uses the same Player as this StreamPro or at any rate it is the same emulator

yes the Streampro does emulate the 250 and the mag254 emulates the 250 as well.

So the mag plays the VODs okay ?

it should but I will try it now.

It takes a little longer to setup cause we have to remove the MAC from server and use the Playlist URL in place of the Server URL and some other stuff

LiveTV and VODs do work thru StreamPro and Perfect Player ... confirmed
But the PPV movie channels do not.
TV Series do work.


But with perfect Player it is some work to set up, especially entering that long long Playlist URL
And if you want an EPG for LiveTV, then you'd need to enter Acid's EPG URL,which is another long one.

And the interface with how the channels and categories are setup is not the best for what we are doing here.

I think maybe we should try the papiao app
Kokaleka TV
That one would be more user freindly and have a better on-screen interface for all of this.

If you are familiar with Perfect Player then go ahead and try it, cause it does work.
But I think the Kokaleka TV app would be better suited, especially if this is for a freind.

download the newest version of the Kokaleka TV from that linked thread (it will be the 'coded' link seen in post #1 on that thread)
It will be an .apk file so you will have to install it thru your AppInstaller or File Browser. (which are onboard the Pro box)

thanks crazed,i think i will just give him my buzz stick for now so he has the VOD and try the Kokaleka TV app when i have time as i had already looked at that..I dont watch movies so im fine with the streampro for now or my mag254.Will let you know in this thread after i have time to try Kokaleka TV app ,Thanks again for your time and now i learnt more!

got it going with Kokaleka TV,but will give my buddy my mag and keep the streampro in the spare bedroom as he;s in his 70's and likes simple shit so the mag will suit him fine.Thanks again crazed and ryu.i wonder if buzz can send an update to the box so VOD works?

But yes, we were talking about the VOD library. The VODs did not work.
-TV Series did not work either.

Just did a check and the ppv liveTV channels do not work.

on a side note -- I do not know why they called them 'PPV' when they are simply a selection of movies listed with the LiveTV channels.
They were put there for people that did not receive the VOD channels, but as far as an actual pay-per-view channel, they are not.
