Renewal with Credit card

Trying to purchase bitcoins to renew my Rocket with a credit card but the site keeps on asking for a copy of a passport or other official document.
That's not cool. Never been asked for this ever before.
Is there a way around it ?

download cash app and create an account and buy some bitcoins. then to to provider site and choose bitcoin cash option and follow the instructions. :)
