The Bad Batch
Drama Horror (2016)
Upon the first 10 minutes of this flic, I was convinced that this is a flic that is a Movie that belongs in the Very Bad category.
Our herion (Suki Waterhouse), ends up getting deported to a zone outside of Texas that is designated for people of the 'Bad Batch'
Criminals and such are sent there, in fact it is anyone the government deems to be deserving.
I guess there is an underlying meaning to this movie. The fence seperating the Bad Batch people and the rest of the USA is a powerful clue as to what the underling meaning may be
Our heroin is sent there with only a jug of water. And soon things turn really bad.
Can you say Cannibals ?
This was the part that I almost turned the TV off !!
Very disturbing.
But that was the only part that gives this flic the genre of a Horror movie.
It soon turns into something different.
Keanu Reeves is in this, but his part is small.
Jim Carrey is in this too, but it was hard to figure out which was his role.
The credits say he was a hermit. The guy that I finally did figure out to be him does not talk and so it was hard to tell that it was Carrey (his character does not look like Carrey at all, unless you look real close).
I had to laugh out loud when I saw that this movie was also billed as a Love story... too funny.
But our heroin does end up with one of the cannibals that was responsible for her missing limbs !
Can you say... Don't play with your Food !!!
The guy that was in Game of Thornes as the barbarian (the big guy, leader of his clan) and as the love of Calissy (Dragon Mother) was the guy.
I guess the meanings behind this film are effedent, but still... I rate this one as a movie that if not watched, then no worries, you did not miss much... except the part where dinner was served... that part had me squirming in my seat
Love Story ? ... nope
Horror ? ... nope
Messed up flic? ...yes
