This is a difficult movie to understand, but I think that is part of it's allure/intrigue.
For those that know their SCI-Fi authors, this film is based on a short story "All You Zombies", by Robert A. Heinlein.
Director: Michael Spierig, Peter Spierig
Writing: Michael Spierig & Peter Spierig as The Spierig Brothers
Writing: Robert A. Heinlein -original short story
Ethan Hawke as The Barkeep
Sarah Snook as Jane
Noah Taylor as Mr. Robertson
Genre: Sci-Fi, Thriller, Drama
Release Date: 9 January 2015
Filming Locations: Melbourne, Australia & Victoria, Australia
Country: Australia
Production Co: Blacklab Entertainment, Screen Australia, Wolfhound Pictures
Distributor: Stage 6 Films (USA)
Quotes:
Barkeep: 'What if I could put him in front of you? The man that ruined your life. If I could guarantee that you'd get away with it, would you kill him?'
Predistination
Ethan Hawk is been one that I've always liked seeing in a film.
The movie starts out with a bang !
Very soon thou, it's hard to follow what's going on with the plot. Seemed almost like it would be some senseless movie, and even with Ethan in it
This lasts for awhile, but then things become suspenseful or maybe intriguing is a better word.
This can be one of them movies that about a quarter the way in, you think about not watching the whole movie, but don't think about that. You gotta watch a little further and then of course all the way to the end, to catch what it's all been about. You may figure it out on the way, but it's ummmm , intriguing... lol :)
It's a SCiFi film but it's easy to forget that while watching this film, for the most part.
I liked this film.
It's intriguing.
It's got some strong characters.
It's well written, except the paradoxes and chit.... but we won't count those.
It's got Ethan Hawk.
Sarah Snock is great in this film too. One movie buff refereed to her in this film, as A Star is Born :)
3 thumbs up outta 5
