live tv on kodi android tablet not working

So I purchased a hip street android tablet with KitKat system. I got Kodi installed version 15 beta 2. Configured the PVR stalker client version 0.8 to the Nfps server, but the video on TV channels does not work. The audio works fine. Do I need to install video codecs. I installed the 1 channel addon, and both video and audio works fine on Kodi. Only the video does not work on live TV channels and live streaming.

Might as well try installing the codecs. Kodi is supposed to have all built-in though. As a test, I'd try the IPTV Stalker to see if that shows video, then try that with the pvr simple, and see if that works.

Also go into video settings and disable video accelerators, one or all

Thanks dara and Roach46 for the quick replies. Roach46 I did as you suggested, and disabled both the libstagefright and mediacodec acceleration in the video settings, and it now works. Thank you.
