more kodi issues

Recently tried to upgrade kodi from version 14.0 to 14.2 and got the message " an existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed". how/where would one go to resolve this problem.

You will need to uninstall the previous version of Kodi. There is no workaround.

ok, will i have to reinstall genesis and other apps once uninstalling/re-installing kodi.?

you will have to set it all up from scratch, your installation is corrupt so making/restoring a backup would be pointless.
