Starlink ??

I am asking if anyone has any info on the Starlink internet that is in beta testing now and taking pre-orders.

I am actually hoping that if enough people switch I wont have to then between the hours of 6-9 pm things wont lock up on me or buffer

They say they don't over subscbibe but I beg to differ

As far as I am concerned Your internet should be sold and based on a guaranteed minimum speed not a maximun speed that cant be maintained when all there subscribers get online the same time.

Anyway wondering if Starlink is going to work right or end up with more of the same with what I have now:confused::confused::confused:

* ...and agree that the sales pitch is deceptive, and should not be allowed unless the min. speed is also listed in Bold text and size equal to the max. speed possible.

Yea, Starlink posted their low and high speeds, which will vary between 50 MB/s and 150 MB/s and to be increased to 300 MB/s in the future... but they also posted that there will be downtime with no connectivity at all.
They do say --> 'During the Beta testing'

The ISS is 254 miles up, way below those things.

And here is a look see at where they all are, and you are correct, they are not geosynchronous satellites....This is why they need so many.

Last night we saw the last sky train go over,(the latest launch, and they haven't dispersed yet) it was a great show, it will be back around 7:55 to 8:10 PM pacific time tonight at my location.

Personally, I think its a great option for those those who live in remote, isolated areas where there is no internet service and they have to have it. If I owned a business, I'd link it to the business and use it as a tax deductible which would be a win, win, win for any subscriber who is thinking about getting a business license to sell fresh air to anyone who wants to buy it. If you need a way to get something at the governments expense, open a business and benefit through self entitlements.
