Since the December update, couple of my boxes randomly (usually during the night) go red. They power up without re-boot quickly so I figure they must be in a sleep/suspend mode. Checked settings per factory recommendations including BT off, no effect. Cheers

A couple of things to try that may relate to the cause of the problem;
- Turn off all CEC control functions on both the STB and the TV. (TV can be set to turn off STB(which might cause a fault))
* CEC settings on Android STB's, are usually in the Display section of the Android settings.
- What I read was there was a bug related to the BT remote functions and problem may not present if using the IR remote only.
* This may require a sys reboot to clear the code for the BT module.

does it on one of my xr4500's too , the power cable is sensitive because i keep unplugging and re-plugging it in else-where .
a reusable twist tie attached to the other wires firmly solved the red light of death for me .
hope this helps .... :D

Well I have 3 of these 4500 and they all do it randomly, without being touched or played with cables.
