Hi folks, nice to be here.
I've set up VLC as the external video player in STBPro.
How do i make the external player the default media player as I seem to have to select external every time.

is there an option to set that Player as default in Settings>Profile>Media Players ?

No mate, just a grey box that says Media Player with no options or info.
It's not a big deal, I can change it on a session basis but would be nice to not have to.

Thanks but that's not the problem - it's making the external player the default, thanks anyway.

Do you have the proper versions of the External Players installed?
Everything I find says it should list the available players!

Hi Shooty, I don't think I've explained myself correctly.
I can change to external player but I cant make it the default player for example like the MPV or the Exo player, it doesn't give me the option in settings/Media Player Settings or
Settings/Profile/Me/Media Player Settings/Media Player, see pics below.

Thanks for the manual, I'll have a trawl through.
I think I might know what the problem is.
In the 1st image above, it shows as > Ijk [PROFILE DEFAULT]
If you are using the default "Profile", you may not be able to change the player.
Go to Profile and make a NEW Profile and Enable it as the one to use.
Then duplicate all the settings info from the default profile to the new one (MAC, Server url etc.)
Save settings and then Reload Portal.

Shooty, that worked! Cheers mate, I wouldn't have thought of it.
My EPG has stopped showing anything but I'm hoping it's just temporary, it's doing it in the default profile as well.
