The Xfinity cars are racing today at Daytona's road course.
They are racing in the rain and have rain tires on the cars and windshield wipers :eek:
Not all have the rain tires on thou and some still have the slicks. Its a crap shoot with the weather and seems the rain stops and starts often.
Chase Briscoe does have the rain tires on. But he is getting passed by the slick cars and then we get a bit of rain again and then Chase does good again.
He is trying for 3 for 3 wins at new tracks !

This is turning into same race as a few weeks ago at Indianapolis' road course, with Briscoe, Cendric and AJ Allmendinger out front battling for the win with 15 to go.
AJ is not much of a threat but if Briscoe or Crendric make a mistake then AJ will be there.
Briscoe came out of Indy with that win.

And some news... Austin Dillon tested covid19 + ... so he won't be racing tomorrow.

well ... Briscoe is climbing out of his car, but unfortunately the race is not over yet :(

There was a caution and 3 cars stayed out, So on the restart Cendric and Briscoe were lined up behind those slower cars on the restart. Briscoe was in the high line and tried getting passed everyone before the first corner,, which is a pretty tight corner. It did not work and a huge pile up happened and Briscoe is outta the race !
Totally Briscoe's own fault as he was just too damn aggressive on that restart.
With 5 to go and another restart completed without a wreck this time, it looks like it will be Cendric for the win... AJ is coming but looks like he will not get there in time with 4 to go now :eek:

AJ involved in a bit of a tango and is now outta contention to catch Cendric.

Cendric is a great road course driver and a couple weeks ago he won back to back at Kentucky... so he is also a great oval track driver as well :)

High Score was 136, by bigstar, dara, minitor and Oakster. All four had the same 4th driver (Harvick), so the tie breaker is the earliest entry. The Earliest entry of the 4 was dara, but I already won, so not eligible. The next entry was Oakster, so he gets the diecast!
