Had my 4500 for 2 months now and a couple of small issues that have come up.... just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem
intermittently both issues show up
first issue the screen turns black like it shuts down and then comes back to the channel it was on within a couple of seconds....
second issue i loose sound and have to change channel then back and the sound comes back
I hear there is an update in the works so maybe that will help
anyway these aren't big issues just more of a nuisance:)
I would wait for file then see .
I was told next week for the file

Have you tried the secondary player instead of the default

I am probably under-using my box. I don't have any thing but the tv on it so nothing else other than IPTV
so no never tried another player...

To be honest, I don’t think I experienced those issues since I started using the secondary player. But I have been having problems with the buzztv 4 app not responding or stop/freezing up at times.

I think the not responding thing comes from trying a function when on a channel or a VOD that is freezing up or won't play at all. When there seems to be too long of a freeze and an RCU function is attempted but does not work....because the buzz4 app is trying to retrieve the channel , which is an issue from server and so because buzz4 is being asked multiple tasks but is stuck waiting for response from server, the buzz4 app can actually stop working. You may even get an onscreen message asking to close app or wait. Which many times at this time, the functions may start working.
Take note at when the non-responsiveness takes place and maybe what I mentioned might make sense, or maybe its just me :)
Seems to only happen here when trying functions thru the RCU while the TV screen is frooze or won't load.
Never experienced the black screen interruptions thou.

black screen crazed is like if you turned it off and had the thing spinning in the middle of the screen for usually a few seconds but can be longer occasionally before it comes back on it self...
occasionally it also seems to do what you described as well crazed ..,.,.
this is just feedback on the unit. .....i would buy another one and i am certainly not crapping on it:)
