UK Blocking Portal?

I have been a member for a while and have just changed ISP seems they block the server.
Playlists can be downloaded but playing them dosnt work, if I put on VPN works so I guess
they are blocking me...

I believe I cannot use a VPN as I will be banned so is there an option for me otherwise I will
have to say goodbye...its been a pleasure..??

VPN block was removed.Yep you are right it was removed.I don't know if they restored it or not.But really what does he have to loose?If he's being blocked and works with a VPN.Then he should use one.He has 3 chances anyways so it's worth taking a chance.Maybe use a US IP and if that works then they probably will be okay.They can always try and set it to allow all country's to see if it will work with the service.

@4me2c, How has the service been working before you seen this thread about the VPN? Is your service gonna work any better using a VPN? I understand about customer service, but the service is the same whether you use a VPN or not! Right?

Thing is when it comes down to either using a VPN to gain access and use your code (and possibly get a notification from service or possibly not)... or don't use a VPN and have no access to your stuff anyway because the ISP is blocking it, I myself would use the VPN... when the only other option is to just forget about it and let the code expire.

Bumper posted this thread Dec 20th and first response did not come in till next day.
Ironically the fact is that I did send Bumper a PM within approx a half hour after he first posted and in that PM I told him to use the VPN as there was nothing to loose :eek:

This is not the first time I had sent a PM to a member and suggested to go ahead with the VPN, when there are no other options.

You think the worlds coming to an end and they need to update you every time they do work on the server.Pretty simple if you choose to use one and you get banned then you have another chance.But it also adds another curve ball to the connection.

Your the one demanding an announcement.Your also saying they have bad customer service.Yes it was turned off,Yes it's suppose to be turned back on when issues are resolved.That's from what i was told.You would not have known any different if JokerZ didn't say anything.Now as for posting A VPN cannot be used it's plain as day when purchase your donation(even in red).I believe it still says not to use a Vpn. update tried a non popular vpn - does the trick for now...will see how it goes

update 2 - nope allowed me to connect to a few channels for a while now cannot find url and not working again! ahhhh

try double vpn, obfuscated or open vpn from Nord and see the result :) I think most vpns let you try for week to month and you can cancel their service if you dont like it. :)

have you tried HMA VPN? I don't use it for IPTV, but Hide My Ass has been good for netflix and other streaming services.

Inquire to your ISP regarding blocking access to certain IP's.
Ask them if this is disclosed, and/or why not.
Then change to a good Provider.
*Use an ISP that does not own or sell TV content!

how does the vpn by itself help hide the activity from the isp? isnt a proxy what is needed for that? thanks im trying to learn and not being critical.

@roadrunneric , The primary difference between a VPN and a proxy is that a proxy doesn't encrypt your traffic, it just hides it. A VPN actually encrypts your IP address and your internet usage.

Geez you all make it hard. My head hurts. NordVPN is pretty good. I was constantly freezing and would not connect all day today. It appears Comcrap network is the root cause per DragonKiller. I installed the Nord APK file for android on the T3 dreamlink. It was easy as pie, just going on chrome web browser on the box and searching and installing the APK file from the website. I suggest turning on IPV6 from the android settings, and in the VPN app on the box, enable autoconnect to USA/UK servers along with CyberSec (Don't know why it gets turned off after you leave the menu, but its working is all it counts).

A similar issue happened with Comcrap 10 years ago with SBHackers modified the modems and copying the modems and spoofing fake MAC's to get free internet. Spent many years doing "research" Comcrap caught on and began doing Node filtering of the MAC's and disabling the fake modems. So these Portals are either being filtered on the Node side (couple city blocks around your neighborhood and they are trying to narrow you down) or they are banning your IP from using these portals when it goes through their main network (not node). This might be accurate or completely off. I have only some limited knowledge of the comcrap internal networks.

not sure if i would agree with that, in this case. someone in my circle received a letter from dave saying that dave was taking them to court for cash. if they follow the money they followed it the wrong direction.

@roadrunneric , i never said it would keep you SAFE , safer yes , that & using bitcoin for future transactions ..

crazed is 100% , it all really boils down to " if " a paper trail exists when you purchased . that's why everyone is pushing for bitcoin , it's safer than a reseller or using your credit card .

the use of the VPN is to bypass comcast , and if/when others join in also . if you do go with a VPN , research one that doesn't log or say they don't hold logs . that's what i would research
