n00b to kodi for pc

So I've been using an avov box and it is starting to bite the dust... I have never used kodi before. I have downloaded Jodi 18.4. I have looked at alot of posts on this site and I'm still lost setting it up... anyone have a detailed setup for fresh Jodi for pc?

Are You Starting from Scratch or are You gonna use Kodi and One of the Services Here...?!?

I already have a rocket I use on my avov.. but every time it does a turn off it loses all information in it so was gonna throw that onto my pc and do a media center kind of thing I already have kodi downloaded and installed just need to figure how to set it up.. and I know I'll have to change my mac on the website
