The XR4000 arrived here today.
I opened the shipping package and then opened the box and .... well I had to stop there.
The way they packed this box with the STB and it's accessories is very impressive. So much so that I have not yet unpacked it further.... lol

So no review or tutorials just yet on this ... I gotta enjoy the packaging just a little longer :)

Stay tuned for when next I open the individual packaged accessories and get this baby fired up !

I can't post pics, they'd be GPS tracked and guys in ice-cream suits would be at my door :eek:
lol.... but seriously thou, the packaging it's not that special but to a guy like me it means alot... makes me think that the guy that packaged these boxes was thinking of guys like me... with my need for organization... it's a thing I have.... I think it is a disease :eek:

lol thanks whiskey is risky for me:). my parents will be beat me hell of it if they found out lol;). I still remember when I was kid and my elder brother found pack of cigaret and my parents found out through one my uncle. (we were 6 or 7 kids include my cousins) guess what we were slapped by parents, aunts and uncles, Grandmother though out day:eek:

I see in that manual, it shows the 'how to' for the learning remote.

finally unpacked my xr 4000
so far everything was easy to set up
my only complaint is that mac addy can't be edited

I see they labeled the iptv MAC as the 'Server ID' and it's last string of 6 digits is same as the box's MAC

When in the menus I noticed that the remote was a bit sluggish. So I tried the xpl3000 remote and also the ARQ-100 remote and both remotes worked fine. Went back to the xr4000 remote and it seems to be fine now too.
The box was powered off and on as well, so maybe that helped, or I was having some sort of human error... either way thou the remote works fine, all 3 work fine and it can also pair with bluetooth.
The remote does have a great range and it does not need to be pointed directly at the XR4000.

new boxes are always better than old boxes. :) sometimes new boxes are not good for some people because they don't know how to use them. sometimes old boxes are good for some people because they work fine for them.:)

theres few things are very important. processor, ram, OS...etc.
buzz 3000 with 4 cores, 2gb ddr3 and OS 6 or 7
buzz 3900 with 8 cores, 3 gb ddr4 and os 7
xr4000 with 2 gb ddr4 with os 9
xrs4000 with 4 gb ddr4 with os9

look at these things do your math and compare your old devices and see compatibility with your apps and make your own judgement. you will see it will make perfect sense what I said @ post 36.:)

Then answered it again when more info was supplied.
