After this latest Beta update, seems MOL2 keeps closing and shows an error onscreen.
I do not know if this latest Beta and the error are related, but yous might want to hold off in loading this beta version till we find out.

When you go to update page then type 0227 and you will see red button pop up @ bottom right corner. Hit red button on RCU and you will see a beta software available or unless it's pulled out🙂

I been meaning to follow up on this and I did connect up this Z8 device (which is same as the T3) and this Z8 did not yet have the new beta update installed, so I thought would be a good test to check if reaction was same.... but... I turned the z8 on and Hell Boy3 was there just waiting to be watched , so ummmm... no update done yet... no test zone.. Hell Boy is on !!!

Update went well on the Z8 and MOl2 does not crash.
So next thing to do is get that T3 connected again and do a factory default on it... but Craig's Bond is back again.

If you load the Beta Software and find out that it has faults you can always remove the new updated firmware and restore back to the original but you will need a new T3 box from another source to do it. On the other T3 new box perform a Backup to USB, then you can use that Backup after you perform a factory reset on your original box that has the defective MOL2. After you perform a factory reset, use your Backup from a new T3 to Restore your original T3 that you did the reset on. I performed this already on an actual defective MOL2 app on a T3 after trying a factory reset did not cure the issue which was after starting the MOL2 the m3u started to load then the application quit with error message and reverts back to home page.

T3 working fine again.
I had not yet done a factory default and was about to, so connected the power to the T3 and tested the MOL2 first thing before the default, and it works fine now.
No Factory Default needed.

So I guess maybe just the power cycle fixed any issue that I may have had.

oh and as I suspected, this new (Beta) update fixed my Screenshot issue as well.
Taking screenshots and saving to USB file works again.

I posted awhile ago about this issue I had with the Screenshot function (which arose when I attempted taking a screenshot of the opened ES File Explorer app)

Somebody can post the T3 raw backup to a link for anyone to use, however if you do a Factory Reset on the T3 by erasing all data, the MOL2 program is downloaded again automatically and asked if you want to do any update to that app if its available.Also its available on the T3 store download app links.

T3 owners may see an update take place if you open the Update option. It will install very fast.
This update is not a T3 firmware update nor a MOL2 IPTV update.
This update is for the 'Update' app itself.
That Update APP's software/firmware is now at version 2.0.10

The 'Update' application often gets a new version released.
I think when I first got this T3 some time ago it was at v2.0.04
So don't let this surprise you to see a new version appear often.
You can see the current version onboard your T3 when you open the Update app. It can be seen near the top right side.

That last update is not installing. I do a power boot and it will download but never installs. Its like the screen freezes. If I skip the update and try to update later, it does not even allow me to download it on the screen. You see a circulating loading circle and then nothing starts.

check internet connectivity
If using WiFi, turn the function off and then back on again, then Reconnect to wiFi signal.

Remove any external storage device that may be plugged into USB port.

are you using the EPG from the service or is it another EPG source?

I had a bit of trouble with EPG not loading, but when the EPG guide is open and I am at the beginning of the channel list, it did populate.

The Z8 received the same update, but the Z8 also now has a Bluetooth Remote that can be bought separately and there is an app for that which is found in the Market.
However, there was a glitch with that app which tended to mess up the download of this new firmware. To fix that you would have to delete that Remote app and then go ahead with the firmware update and then re-install the remote app (which has a new and fixed version in the Market ready for download).
But I do not think any of that applies to the T3, I do not see the new Remote app in the Dreamlink Market but I do see it in the Formuler Z8 Market.
But word of warning, if by chance you do have that BT app installed, you might wanna delete it for now before updating this new firmware.

I updated both the T3 and the Z8 here and did not have any issues.
I never did install the first BT Remote app thou, so I figured I would not have any issues.

I am a little late in posting this Beta release, but I wanted to load it before I posted. I have now loaded onto the T3 and it went well.
The only thing was after the reboot it seemed to take a little longer to boot up as compared to previous, but nothing to worry about (it seems) as the reboot did complete and everything seems just fine :)

This is a beta update so if you care not to load it you can wait till next Official release.

To access a Beta Update ... while in the Update menu, enter 0227 thru the RCU and then depress the red button and that will bring up the Beta update for loading.

The History showing on Home Screen is one :)


NEW: Add MYTVOnline2 channels to the home screen
- Access from: Launcher Settings > Customize Channels

You can now see your favorites/history on Home/Launcher screen.
To use this function, enter the Launcher settings found on Home screen and then enter 'Customize Channels'
Then turn on which categories you'd like to see on Home screen.

Seems the Live TV channels and VODs do not show favorites but they do show recent history on Home screen (when turned on).
TV Series has the favorites option as well as the History option.

Seem to be having some trouble loading this HotFix update.
I see the version available for download but getting a Firmware Download Error message when trying to load it.
I do see the Software Update shortcut on the Home screen has the indicator showing there are 2 updates waiting, which would be the FW version and the MOL2 version. But the Update does not load. But I also see something I never seen before and that is an indicator shown on the Home screen's Hotkeys shortcut.
That is strange to see that and there is nothing there to load or install... It is just a shortcut to the Hotkeys menu :eek:

So if anyone tries loading the Hotfix file and it fails, do not worry about it as it is not a priority to load this Hotfix. If it does load for you, then that's fine too.
I am wondering about that indicator on the Hotfix shortcut thou, could be part of the glitch as to why the Update will not install... but I do not know.Seems to be nothing to worry about thou.

I will be testing this same HotFix version on the Z8 when I get a chance.

So I have this T3 still showing with the working version prior to this latest Hotfix, and is working well.

I tried again a few times, but same results.

I am not seeing this newest Hotfix v.7.12.4 because the last Hotfix is still there waiting to be loaded.

There is a change thou,
I do see now that the update indication has disappeared from the HotKeys shortcut. It does still show the (2) update indicator on the Software Update shortcut which is normal when an update is waiting , but the indicator on the HotKeys shortcut was not normal... but its gone now... so... :)

The T3 device is hardwired with Ethernet, although it is quite a long cat5 cable, 50 ft I think, perhaps more.
Never had issue before thou with same cable the last many few years.
I will today connect the Z8 (which has exact same updates) and see how that goes.

Okay seems I fixed the problem.
Upon first opening the Software Update option I was taken to the Update page but the Updater itself was in need of an update, which was not happening as it usually did in the past. So without knowing what else to do I did a Factory Data Rest.
Once complete I saw the indicator still showing an update available (2 of them).
Opened that and low and behold the Updater update commenced and once that completed then I was able to load this HotFix Firmware Update, and the next one.

So problem was that the Updater update (v1.3-20-b1742ec) did not automatically load/install when it should have.
The Reset fixed it.

There was a change in selecting the external player option which will only show OFF if you don't have other players installed.
Install the external player and check again in MOL2 > Menu > Settings > External VOD player
