I was watching one of the cable cutting videos on youtube the other night. The host was talking about ACE and Dish going after IPTV subscribers. RocketIKS was one of the IPTV companies he mentioned.

The host was saying that Dish wanted $3500, but they would negotiate and allow monthly payments. They've pretty much killed the pirate satellite stuff, but how do they kill IPTV when it comes from countries like China or Russia?

A lot of the Youtube videos are propaganda trying to scare IPTV users into buying a legit service....usually one "they" offer.

It also doesn't help that who ever is on the feed end allows the computer to go to sleep mode from time to time (they need to jiggle the mouse once in a while) and the DirecTV logo goes bouncing around the screen. Now DirecTV who you know is monitoring all this stuff knows for sure it's their feed being pirated; of course they want to shut it down. If they didn't let it go to sleep mode none of the providers would know who they are pirating from. Could be Comcast, PSVue, Cox, Dish, DirecTV, Sling, etc. etc.. It would keep them guessing and none would really take the inititave to shut them down. But if a provider knows it's their feed for sure, they are going to work twice as hard to stop it.
