Three legendary drivers, a successful team owner and a mechanical master heard the call from the NASCAR Hall of Fame on Wednesday, earning their spots in the stock-car racing shrine’s Class of 2020.
Top vote-getter Tony Stewart was joined by former teammate Bobby Labonte and their team owner Joe Gibbs. Heralded speedster Buddy Baker and engine builder Waddell Wilson rounded out the five elections from the 20 nominees.
Edsel Ford II was chosen from five nominees for the Landmark Award for outstanding contributions to stock-car racing.
