I currently am sub of the service, it has been working wonders for me beside that other day (Apr 30 or something) that it was down for about a day and now since last night, the channels plays and load, but every like 3min or 2min, the video stream rewind like 3 seconds back and then continue playing. In some instances the channel goes down for a few seconds. Have anyone noticed that? is it something that is being looking into?
PS. I appreciate your concern about my degree of computer illiteracy, and might as well save you asking related questions. But I am not and dumb#@%, the issue is clearly the channel/stream. Thank you.

How did I suspect it? It is almost as if I knew the future or had some magic powers. (Dang, I thought I should have played the lottery too) Is almost if I knew, that I would get an @$$hat exactly like you in this thread, it is actually exactly why I put this line at the end.
Anyway, I wasn't going to respond but I'll take the bait. If I were to tell you that I mostly or likely 100% of the times I use VLC on the PC. What exactly will you do to help to solve it or troubleshoot it?

Just as there weren't the day the service was down for about 1 day, which I noticed almost as soon as it went down. The first post or thread in here was like 12h to 16h later after it went down. But yeah, don't let the door hit you on your way out.

according to some friends 66 having some issues or could be due to maintenance I don't know but nfps has been working good. may be you wanna try trial from rocket or nfps and see its on your end or all servers having issues or its just 66:)

to troubleshoot on a PC or Laptop application, I would be trying another application that also will work on PC/Laptop

understood, not in agreement but understood.
In actual fact I am your biggest fan , sometimes one of you're only fans :)
Without some like yourself that do post however blunt, then without that then the bombarding of un-needed posts which do in fact show negatively towards the service, will go un-answered to, which then leads to more of the negativity towards service reliability, when it simply was not true to start with.
But may have been User end experience only.
okay ,I know you knew all that already... so for me to interfere with a thread, then I must have seen it warranted.
And no, I am not saying that is your purpose is in all this... I know you better then that.

I am okay with the 66 servers being in maintenance, that is understandable. I am mostly trying to bring attention to the issue or perhaps, to know if is being looked into. I am fairly certain its not my setup/connection. As 1# I am able to load, download, test, surf and see content just as I normally do, I have a 50+Mbps connection. User error/side of things, is one of the first things I check before running into assumptions about the service. By saying "I am not a dumbass", I am not trying to name call anyone but rather to avoid having to discuss the very obvious and what the average computer-guy-knows-about setup/connection topics. And #2 (I am gonna have to bring it anyway) I setup automatic recording of certain shows at different times of the days with NextPVR on Windows, it first started last night at about 3-4AM EST that my recording were a little messed up (exactly as I explained on my OP). I tried on a different computer, my recordings at about 7-10AM (on that same different computer) this morning were totally fine and then the recordings of about 11AM up until now are showing the exact same mess (as described on OP), to confirm this issue is on server side. I also loaded the channels on VLC and they follow the exact same behavior as my recordings. So that is 2 computers, 2 different software, internet is perfectly fine...
As for the insults. The other day, me visiting the forum as guest, I noticed how dishuser called someone else "goof" and attacking someone. I assumed it was okay to do this on the forum. My bad and apologies, I am normally more respectful. I should have relied on the forum rules, rather than what an old user on the forum does.

Wow...... Pretty condescending.... To the guy who is asking.... Sometimes the INTERNET in general can cause problems. Every time I have issues I try to buffer. If that don't do it then I go and run a speed test on the thing. 9 times out of ten I have slow speed. Depending on the buffer size, that can cause what you are seeing. That is what I do. If the problem persists, I watch something else and give time for the problem to be solved. Finally bear in mind my friend that there are some people here that think they have the best box and slam those that don't use it. I have a mag, It works just as good as anything else. Better than a Buzz as far as I am concerned. So to close this, Anyone that gives condescending remarks aren't worth the time of day. Some people do not have any manners and my apologies to the original poster for those people.

Hi there. I appreciate the input. Like I said, I usually check my end before reaching into conclusions about the service, and don't get me wrong. I am not complaining about the service, I love it and little things like this wont make me get rid of it any time soon, like I mentioned earlier, I am mostly bringing awareness of the issue and asking perhaps if is still on my end. I have numerous ways or can work on numerous ways to determine whether is the service or just my internet. For instance, when the service was down a while ago, I testes for wether it was my connection, whether my ISP was blocking the service (ie. using a FAST vpn), different internet connection, the only reason it had me believing it was still something on my end was because no one for close to 12-14h of service outage was reporting the issue here or anywhere. Yet the very first time someone posted about his, he got the usual "user error" assumptions as response. And like I said, is mostly for awareness. Who never knows, If no one has brought it up here the other day, maybe it would have stayed down for longer than a day. Its what I attempted to prevent here (like, just in case).

** Helpful methods to diagnose problems ...
- DSL speed test (just to confirm your Local connection loop is not saturated, and you are being Throttled Down, by your ISP).
- Check "Open Channels", compared to channels from the Providers servers. (203-CBSNews/ 227-Aljazeera/ 215-Weather Ntwk.)
*If you receive these without any glitching etc., you can remove your equipment and your ISP(Unless they are blocking or throttling .ts streams).
- HD channels compared to SD channels, can indicate your equipment may be doing something in the background (using resources), you are unaware of (Updates etc.)
- Weather & environmental impacts. All of the streams from the servers, are derived from mostly Satellite sources (directly or indirectly but originating from). If problems are with US feeds, see if there are extreme weather events occurring in that geographical area, for example.
Flooding can also disrupt Internet Routing by causing network traffic to be re-routed, causing traffic bottlenecks.
(This usually will not cause a problem for most internet traffic (Netflix, UTube, Facebook etc.), but will be evident with applications like LiveTV (.ts) streaming, online Gaming etc.
Finally, the 1st thing to check is these Forums, for other users having the same problems.
As for you not knowing much about it, it sure seems like you know more than most!!
So now you know to post more info about your setup, your service, the channels, the time of day, and possibly your geographical location.
As for your problem..., sounds like the data is getting corrupted intermittently, causing the data block decoding to stop, causing replay of the buffer content while the next block of data is being decoded and loaded into the buffer. So I suspect satellite rain fade.

Well, while it sounds as the most rational and sane thing to do but considering the last two issues, I wouldn't put too much faith in that. Of course, after diagnosing my end, I can always come here and report the issue and hope I don't get a few, or should I say, someone riled up.

I notice that too at times will work great for a few minutes than replay back not always tho I'm using perfect player and the decoder settings in playback has a lot to do with it I noticed Hardware works best for me Hw+ streams faster so freezes up auto is no good also need to clear cache always

Good evening today from the afternoon the service of the house in 66 is experiencing the arrival of the king of the night, freezing and bufer crazy place Telemundo, international telemundo, espn, rcn, rcn novels, caracol, antena 3 and some others more and in all it froze and buffer. I see the service through ProgDVB, I already reset the modem to a speed of 50 megabytes via RJ45. Is there any scheduled maintenance?

if you did all that dont touch that dial and wait it out if more then few days then ask again nothing is perfect but they try
