Freezing

Mag 254 for the past 2 weeks i can not watch any move always freezing any one have the same issue or it is only me?

I've been having the same issues I have to keep constantly resetting the box

been having the same issues with live tv and movies unwatchable. restarted everything and my download Mbps is 25.

this is usually an outcome of your internet and networking.
As mentioned, someone using same interenet to use netflix or other similar like XBox would cause that.
Downloading torrents would cause that.
Bad or insufficient quality connections would cause that.
Networking priority or interuptions from ongoing PC/internet tasks can be a cause.
There are many reasons why you'd get freezing using iptv , most are not iptv server related (some are thou, for sure)

Could it be a MAG receiver issue ?
I doubt it but maybe, if box is running software known to be an issue.

yes, the foxsports 1 channel is another I noticed with freezing but very watchable and the rest seen are okay with no issues too.
All VODs are without freezing. That's always been true as well

it's funny/odd to me that when the mag254 starts freezing,i have absolutely 0 trouble with my g box. i was trying to watch MLB game presently and it is freezing so bad,i had to switch to my gbox and watching exact same game,with 0 freezing issues in sports devil. no other boxes are online presently and only the computer i am typing this on and the gbox.
when attempting to watch MLB on the magbox it was the only thing that was even connected to my network or internet.

yesterday,MLB played almost flawlessly,so did the most of the live tv channels that i watch.

i downgraded from r11 to r10 and everything seems to be ok for now

gregm you might be on to something here. Did a downgrade to r10 and things look way better on the MAG 254.

Always wonder why some people seem to be OK with the MAG 254 while others have loads of issues. Will watch it and see how the downgrade works and give feedback

Valdovic you can find r10 firmware on the FTAZETA website under the MAG 254 section in the Files subsection. The instruction are there, didn't even have to do a factory reset so it was easy no set up after firmware was loaded.

Surprising when I did this downgrade using the file on the FTAZETA website and followed their simple instruction my missing infomir logo is now back.

Man they really need to get they shit together,I did a factory reset and my logo is
Gone,I don't care about the logo but I never had a box before that have done this
After a factory reset that supposed to bring the box back to it's original setting.
I am not going to use a usb to try to put their logo back on their box that's stupid
You think they would make sure they logo stick to they brand specially for marketing

I dont mean for everybody to buy a mag 250 but i find them more stable than the mag 254.

koolkat meant that we need to have the firmware for individual MAGs stored there so people can go back to a previous one similar to bin files stored for fta on other sites.

Bkman 2020 think the MAG 254 box itself is good it's the r11 firmware that is buggy.

Bkman 2020 the only difference between the MAG 250 and 254 is the 254 has more RAM and a newer processor everything else is the same.

Yes having problems with some channels and movies but not others. No one else in house using internet, netflix etc...

When I first went online everything worked perfectly. Now all channels freeze. With the exception or RT. Al Jazeera and some adult Chanel's. No other boxes or programs running in the house. Just raised the internet speed level to the maximum through Cox that is available in our area. That made no difference. I m still on version 218 on software from 3/18/ 2015. When I attempt software update I m messaged url is incorrect

Did the downgrade to r10 and some of the channels like the 300 and some others freeze same with vod. The international and some Spanish channels are working well so I thing is on the server side not mine.

I will share my experience , many times freezing is caused by your ISPs particularly from smaller ones because if you do not own the IP address. The consequence of this is that the server needs time to decide which request to serve if they get pretty requests from the same IP address

I find that there is more and or contant freezing in the evenings for US channels, IE DIY HBO's CNN, however the Canada channels work flawless. In the AM, all is fine. Possibly server overload, but thats a guess. Will try the buffer thing tonight. Good little unit thou.

You'll have to play around to either find your values ​​for different portals.
I can not give you a fixed value , because my box is not genuine software and secondly I haven't loaded NFPS portal now (waiting for paid version in the hope that there will be а quality HD channels )
