You could uninstall the updates via the settings/apps but it may be a forced update so you may get it again. It was supposed to be an optional update but it installed on my boxes without searching for updates so you may get it again.

Other than the favorites issue, this new version preforms very well from my experiences and finally adds full functionality to my epg. I'm happy with it for sure. :D

Yes, I have 2018 edition xpl3000 boxes and got the update. I see the original first page up this thread with the descriptions of the issue with favorites has been deleted...

The vid above shows the issue in action. Just like the other issues I and some others were having with epg timing and program info, it doesn't seem to affect all users. If the original first page of this thread wasn't deleted, there was a couple accurate descriptions of the issue...

so has anyone gotten the update for the Buzztv xpl 3000 (NOT BASIC).......I'm still at ver 1.6 ........just keeps telling me no update available ...I know the Buzz basic was sent first

just confirmed with few friends and no update available for xpl 3000. but strange part is 2 friends bought xpl 2000 basic 2018 same time, same place but one is not detecting update and second does. but when he hits update it says downaling and nothing after that. he tried everything I told him and no luck. I guess he has to send me to check.:)

This is not abnormal. It happens even with other boxes and pushed updates.

No rush ;) just posting my findings for the moment on the update for 2018 boxes .

However one thing I did find a little odd , when I go to update via the apps settings.. if I turn off auto and do it manually my box will not connect to their servers period. this could be the issue. says cannot connect to server?

Yes I'm aware of that. But if it cannot communicate with the server for firmware updates.. wouldn't that be somewhat connected for the buzz app update? just a thought

I've got a couple older xpl3000's (not 2018 version and 1 is sport model) that didn't get the buzztv2 update. Those boxes are all on android 6 still and didn't get the android 7 update. All my other boxes (2018 and panda) on android 7 have gotten the update. So maybe check if you're box is on android 6.

Aggy, this update is for buzz tv iptv app only. android 6 is OS. I don't think that xpl 3000 going to get OS 7 ever. what Floder2 referring 1.6 is version number for buzz iptv app. im sure his box has OS or android 6.:) when his box will get update that will change his buzz app version from 1.6.. to whatever but his android OS will stay at 6.:)

Yes i do and did that also. The BuzzTV app never shuts down. The update screen goes away until i start it next time then comes back up. Even did a force stop and went into File Browser and found the apk and tried running it from there but it would not install. So i deleted the apk and tried again with no luck.

When you click on install update it does not automatically stop the buzztv app.....I'm not sure where you would have gotten that idea. Click on install update and awhile, let the unit do its work. If the message keeps returning even after you reboot it means you are doing something to interrupt the installation.

Click on install and put the remote out of your hand..... The app will reboot itself and may return to a blank screen or back to live tv, if the screen is blank hit menu and exit app. Reopen and check which version you have by pressing menu button, version is listed at the bottom.

Not sure which box you have but most boxes have a Factory reset which is usually located in Settings> About Box but there should also be a reset pin hole to reset it back to factory but don't hold my feet to the fire as I don't have a lot of android boxes and the ones I do have are all the same make and model but some with Android, 6.0 others with 7.1 but they all have same 3gb ram 32gb rom, dual antennas 918 processor with 4K HDR 3D support.

Yeah one of my friends found the apk there last week and started sharing it with others who didn't get the update yet. I had no idea it was there until then ;)

And not too complicated to install. I used this live tv app for almost 2 yrs now, and until now have been happy with it.
Just wish this had not happened. Until this 211 update came. Every thing ran good other than the freezing from the server which all brands suffered.

did you try another player before complaining?
You can always uninstall updates
I guess 14 months is almost two years

Could be that your iptv service is freezing on those channels.... Have you checked the forums to see if they are reported?

I have kodi on my other box & it mostly works fine except the few channels that always freeze anyways.
As for the almost 2 yrs, your right I exadurated. Sorry I thought it was longer. See that on my receipt.
I will look into removing the updates from the buzz then.

My BuzzTV xpl300 shipped with Android 7.1.2, and as other posters have noted whose xpl3000 STB's are still on Android Marshmallow (6.0/6.01), many of the issues before and after the BuzzTV2 app release don't seem to be present on xpl3000's running on Android 6.x, like they are on 7.1.2.

I've experienced very similar issues as you've posted about on my xpl3000 immediately after the 211 update. I had so many bizarre issues at first, including massive channel loss (which turned out to be temporary), and inoperable buttons on the ARQ-100 remote, that I had to uninstall the update, which in turn prompted me to install the update again, which I did, and then the missing channels reappeared in my channel list.

The weird behavior with a couple of key buttons on the AQQ-100 remote required resetting the remote, which can be done in a variety of ways which are mentioned here on this site. I really like the ARQ-100 remote over the standard one shipped with my xpl3000, cuz it simply works better--sooooo much better, even though a couple/few key buttons aren't currently mapped to their on-button printed labels, but alternative button presses produce the desired functions. I've read here in this thread and elsewhere on this site that updates that may improve the ARQ-100's response/functionality are being worked on, so hopefully the few inconveniences currently being experienced by some of us using this remote will be addressed in the future.

I like many of the changes/improvements made in the BuzzTV2 211 update, except for the failure to tune into channels when changing channels, compared to the previous update, using both the standard xpl3000 remote and the ARQ-100 remote. This es especially evident when using the "Last" or the lil' "Rocket" button located directly above the "Menu" the the ARQ-100 remote, to return to the previous channel, and the "Recall CH" button on the original xpl3000 remote.

Prior to the 211 update, I had roughly a 98% success rate when using these buttons to quickly flip back & forth between shows I was interested in that were on at the same time slot. With the 211 update, my experience has been the reverse of that: now 98% of the time, the channels don't tune in. Instead, they either paint a still image of the channel being switched to, and then the dreaded circle buffering indicator appears and rarely tune in even after 45 seconds or more, or they tune in with active video for about 3/4ths of a second, and then the circle buffering or no pic at all. Sometimes rapidly pressing the "Last" button, or using the up / down channel buttons will trigger the channel to tune back in, but mostly this doesn't work either.

I've experimented with pressing the OK buttons and the EPG / Guide-equivalent buttons on the standard and ARQ-100 remotes respectively, and traversing the mini channel view or EPG/Guide view for selecting channels, and this seems to occasionally have a slightly better success rate, but not much.

I've tried clearing cache, both from the outer APP menu, and the Inner Android Apps->BuzzTV app selection menu, and of course rebooting the STB and all communications equipment, and at various times of the day and nite, to ostensibly rule out ISP and/or server load issues, but it hasn't yielded any relief to this errant behavior. I experienced none of this behavior in the prior version of the BuzzTV app.

There's also an issue with the LiveTV Categories selection feature with the 211 update, as recently reported by a friend with an identical xpl3000 running on Android 7.1.2 and who also has the standard and ARQ-100 remotes.

I've been able to reproduce this issue on my xpl3000 with the 211 update as well.

When they press the OK button, and then Left-Arrow to bring up the LiveTV Categories selection menu on the left side of the screen, and they select a different Category, such as the "Information" Category for example, and then press the OK button to activate that Category, they can see the name of the Category has changed at the top of the mini channel view list mode, thus confirming their Category change, and from there they can navigate and select channels as expected within that Category.

However, upon trying to leave/exit that category and Select the "All" category again, they're often left in the singular Category they'd previously selected, and can't seem to escape from it, and seemingly only after pressing a ton of buttons on their remote(s) are they occasionally able to return to the "All" LiveTV Category with all of the channels available in the list again. They also reported randomly missing channels or having strange channels gaps appear out of nowhere, and upon pressing the OK button and then the Left-Arrow button on their remote(s), they observed that they'd somehow been placed into the "Science" Category, which explained the channel gaps, because the Category filtering was in effect.

After further troubleshooting/experimentation with this issue on my xpl3000, I often times experienced the same problems, and the only way I could consistently return to the "All" LiveTV Category and therefore see all of the available LiveTV Channels on screen was to Highlight the "All" Category, and then press the Right Arrow button, then the Channel Up arrow, and then press the OK button, twice, to view whichever channel was highlighted in the list. This would then allow me to traverse the expected channels in the "All" LiveTV Category. This happens most of the time when switching LiveTV Cagegories, but not all of the time. I'm not sure if the same button presses were required in the previous version of the BuzzTV app or not, as prior to the 211 update, I never bothered to use the LiveTV Categories feature.:confused:

I had freezing on buzz post update.
Tried all players.
Tried 4 separate services.

All having issues. (Tried 2x diff red buzztv 3000).

Cleared cache and data on buzztv app,
No change.

Uninstalled updates, issue somewhat persisted couldn't really check as it forced the update again(anyway to block the update?)

After update reinstalled, it's working fine it seems now...

Still on version 1.6 (86)

I've tried force closing the app, clearing cache, clearing app data, rebooting, pulling the power cable etc. I can't get it to update.

I had the same problem with my 3000 android 6 after a reset. Would not update. I went into the market on the home screen, did a search for buzz tv. Clicked on the app and got the choice to update. I did that and then went to Live TV. Got the popup to update to the latest update and did that. Coincidence I do not know, but it worked for me.

Yes I have. Its up to date. Everything is up to date except for the BuzzTV app, it will not update from v1.6.
No I haven't tried hardwiring my device, ill try it later.

EDIT: Just tried a factory reset and tried using ethernet, still no luck. Wont update.

Confirmed with Buzz customer support that Build V001S901_20180306 is the most current for the original XPL3000 (Android 6.0.1) as of 1/10/19.

I have also attached Buzz TV 2 v1.6 (159) for those who want to downgrade to the previous version just prior to v2.0. :D

Well after playing around for another week with the 211, still have a hard time watching TV.
Like I said before, the spinner just keeps on spinning. A week ago, I removed the 211, then it just simply put me back at the 211.
Some told me that sometimes the update does not go in properly, if you use the remote during the downloading of the 211 update.
This time when it updated, I made sure it was hands off, till it was sure to have completed. But as I sad, nothings changed. Still spinning on channels.

manford's issue sure seems like server side issue,with that spinning circle :eek:

By server side, I mean that it could be incorrect URL or MAC not linked or maybe a URL change may be wanted ... :eek:

I have always been using the URL assigned from my donation. The MAC is linked with the donation.
Would there be a secondary URL that could be used that may possibly help solve the issue?
I have already tried rebooting & clearing the cache as well.

no but there has been seen times that the URL changed at the server level... So... re-check your code to ensure it shows same URL you have on your receiver setup

Oh ok. I think you may think that it totally not picking up a picture.
The connection is working, as it is about 50% of the channels that spin.
The other 50 do work fine, except some freezing once & a while.

I am getting the spinning wheel a few times aswell.

Yes the server stream disconnected that initiated the issue, but with new buffer settings it should be reconnecting.

A quick Channel Down restores the feed.
So it seems the stream reconnect and buffer is feeling at times

so these recent related issues are prolly and are server related.
And yes, the stuff supported here. Fact is that yup there is lots of 'looping' and other things going on with iptv.. your receiver may see that as a bump and try to proceed.. and well outcomes vary.
Fact is that indeed feeds are inconsistent ..for lack of better word.


Different boxes handle this differently... but no matter, it is a server issue.. not buzz

yea i had wheel of death too was thinking it was box but nope cleared up in few days after i did update just give it time

I do not know whats going on. But I feel the update is buggy. My Kodi does not have this problem.

My BuzzTV xpl300 shipped with Android 7.1.2, and as other posters have noted whose xpl3000 STB's are still on Android Marshmallow (6.0/6.01), many of the issues before and after the BuzzTV2 app release don't seem to be present on xpl3000's running on Android 6.x, like they are on 7.1.2.

I've experienced very similar issues as you've posted about on my xpl3000 immediately after the 211 update. I had so many bizarre issues at first, including massive channel loss (which turned out to be temporary), and inoperable buttons on the ARQ-100 remote, that I had to uninstall the update, which in turn prompted me to install the update again, which I did, and then the missing channels reappeared in my channel list.

The weird behavior with a couple of key buttons on the AQQ-100 remote required resetting the remote, which can be done in a variety of ways which are mentioned here on this site. I really like the ARQ-100 remote over the standard one shipped with my xpl3000, cuz it simply works better--sooooo much better, even though a couple/few key buttons aren't currently mapped to their on-button printed labels, but alternative button presses produce the desired functions. I've read here in this thread and elsewhere on this site that updates that may improve the ARQ-100's response/functionality are being worked on, so hopefully the few inconveniences currently being experienced by some of us using this remote will be addressed in the future.

I like many of the changes/improvements made in the BuzzTV2 211 update, except for the failure to tune into channels when changing channels, compared to the previous update, using both the standard xpl3000 remote and the ARQ-100 remote. This es especially evident when using the "Last" or the lil' "Rocket" button located directly above the "Menu" the the ARQ-100 remote, to return to the previous channel, and the "Recall CH" button on the original xpl3000 remote.

Prior to the 211 update, I had roughly a 98% success rate when using these buttons to quickly flip back & forth between shows I was interested in that were on at the same time slot. With the 211 update, my experience has been the reverse of that: now 98% of the time, the channels don't tune in. Instead, they either paint a still image of the channel being switched to, and then the dreaded circle buffering indicator appears and rarely tune in even after 45 seconds or more, or they tune in with active video for about 3/4ths of a second, and then the circle buffering or no pic at all. Sometimes rapidly pressing the "Last" button, or using the up / down channel buttons will trigger the channel to tune back in, but mostly this doesn't work either.

I've experimented with pressing the OK buttons and the EPG / Guide-equivalent buttons on the standard and ARQ-100 remotes respectively, and traversing the mini channel view or EPG/Guide view for selecting channels, and this seems to occasionally have a slightly better success rate, but not much.

I've tried clearing cache, both from the outer APP menu, and the Inner Android Apps->BuzzTV app selection menu, and of course rebooting the STB and all communications equipment, and at various times of the day and nite, to ostensibly rule out ISP and/or server load issues, but it hasn't yielded any relief to this errant behavior. I experienced none of this behavior in the prior version of the BuzzTV app.

There's also an issue with the LiveTV Categories selection feature with the 211 update, as recently reported by a friend with an identical xpl3000 running on Android 7.1.2 and who also has the standard and ARQ-100 remotes.

I've been able to reproduce this issue on my xpl3000 with the 211 update as well.

When they press the OK button, and then Left-Arrow to bring up the LiveTV Categories selection menu on the left side of the screen, and they select a different Category, such as the "Information" Category for example, and then press the OK button to activate that Category, they can see the name of the Category has changed at the top of the mini channel view list mode, thus confirming their Category change, and from there they can navigate and select channels as expected within that Category.

However, upon trying to leave/exit that category and Select the "All" category again, they're often left in the singular Category they'd previously selected, and can't seem to escape from it, and seemingly only after pressing a ton of buttons on their remote(s) are they occasionally able to return to the "All" LiveTV Category with all of the channels available in the list again. They also reported randomly missing channels or having strange channels gaps appear out of nowhere, and upon pressing the OK button and then the Left-Arrow button on their remote(s), they observed that they'd somehow been placed into the "Science" Category, which explained the channel gaps, because the Category filtering was in effect.

After further troubleshooting/experimentation with this issue on my xpl3000, I often times experienced the same problems, and the only way I could consistently return to the "All" LiveTV Category and therefore see all of the available LiveTV Channels on screen was to Highlight the "All" Category, and then press the Right Arrow button, then the Channel Up arrow, and then press the OK button, twice, to view whichever channel was highlighted in the list. This would then allow me to traverse the expected channels in the "All" LiveTV Category. This happens most of the time when switching LiveTV Cagegories, but not all of the time. I'm not sure if the same button presses were required in the previous version of the BuzzTV app or not, as prior to the 211 update, I never bothered to use the LiveTV Categories feature.:confused:

Yup! That works.
I guess somewhere along the line, the ubiquitous use of the OK button was just an assumed part of the usual if not logical path to function/feature enablement, as it is mostly everywhere else on the Buzz... (yeah...enablement, that's not a real word, but I pressed OK to get it too! LoL);)

Anyway....ur technique is now noted. Thx! :)

Edit: I've found that after viewing a channel with @dishuser's Category Selection method, and then attempting to use the same method to select a new Category, I'm stlll left in the previously selected Category. In order to actually select a new Category, Ive had to also press the Up or Down button, then the OK button to actually tune to that channel (even if it's the same channel I was watching previously), and then upon exiting/viewing whichever channel I've chosen, then and only then will I be switched to the new Category.

So, for me, on an xpl3000 running on Android 7.1.2 and with the latest BuzzTV2 (211) update, the Category Selection method seems to be at bit buggy, or at least a bit awkward, if not inconsistent with other BuzzTV app features/button presses required to achieve the desired result.

bring up the side bar menu when on LiveTV and there is also a Check Updates shortcut there too.
I think that is also new?
