do it on your own risk. if you can exit out then fine and try to download again if not then I would turn off box, turn back on again and try again and see if that helps. it should not take that long. hopefully you will be able to update without any problem. good luck and let us know how that goes.:)

Trying to start my Dol2 but every time I start it brings me to software update and I cannot get further. What else can I do

can you go to setting, software update, type 0227 and press red button and download/install new update? if not then I would factory reset the box but do it on your own risk and make sure to save all donation info.:)

When I got to software update I did press 0227 then red button. But there is no download/install new updates. Just the same screen. And I cannot get inside my dol2 to view my donation info.

do you have your donation id, email, donation number...etc saved somewhere else? if yes then you can factory reset and then use your donation info on your provider site to retrive your portal info...etc.

also if you are wireless connected then try hardwire and reboot your box and see if box takes update/install.

I did a factory default and downloaded the dol2 apk and samething again. Software screen comes up and that's it?

what might be happening is the box is telling you that there is also a new version app for the DNS setting which is to connect to the update server.
So go ahead and click on the update again and after it is complete or ends up back at that same screen, do the update again but this time we want to see a message appear about New Update 1.1.1.1 and then that should change to New Update 2.0.0.0

another thing too which the devs recently changed is when there is a new firmware or DOL/MOL update and even after you have updated, the release notes for that update will stay on screen instead of dissapearing after the update, as they use to before.
This is so a person can refer to the release notes even after the update has been installed.
So if you can exit that update screen without proceeding to the update, then that would work too.

I am told that they will be changing this and the release notes and the update message will dissapear after the update has been done and a shortcut option will be added so you can choose to see the release notes if wanted

Can I ask what make and model are both of them routers ?

My T1 Plus (firmware v 2.8.49; IPTV v1.9.75) will not complete the update to v2.8.71. The update downloads no problem and the box reboots to install, however, the installation doesn't complete and upon the box loading it goes straight to software update again. No matter how many times I try, this keeps repeating. I have also tried going to settings and completing a factory and software reset and had no luck, the same thing occurs. After a few tries, the box is stuck with the two green lights on the front.

Is the box fried? Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks!

Delete the DOL from your T1 and then try the update again.

I tried deleting DOL then doing the update and after this both green lights came on the front of the box and nothing happens now and the box won’t load. I hope the box isn’t dead now!

Dug up my T1_Plus and shown above is what I started with.
I did get the Updater update first thing. It updated the Update app to version 2.0.4
I had to do it twice before it stopped asking me t update it.

Then the Update shown as waiting, was the DOL2 v1.9.75
Since the Firmware was already current, there was no firmware update waiting.

I went ahead and did the DOL2 update and it went fine.

My box is stuck at update. It installs, reboots and goes back tp update. I tried the reset file, nothing happens. I tried updating several times (at least 30 or so) after rebooting it lands up at update page again. I uninstalled the DOL2 and did factory reset and software reset and installed still same problem of update available. Not able to use. In the mean time I am able to use the DOL but not friendly at all and VOD is not working. when I select VOD in DOL version 1, it always closes the app and goes back to home.

my box is hardwired, I also tried connecting directly at the modem gatewayt to install and still same issue. I even tried connecting to my cell phone (thinking it may be due to ISP blocking or something) in hotspot mode and tried but still same update page issue.

can someone please guide me.

Seems this issue may be in the connection to the update server.
First thing , check your Market for a app named as '4 in 1' or '4 in 2' or something like that. What that is , is a program to alter the DNS in order to fix the connection issue (with the 4 denoting the DNS numbers, there are 4 of them).
If you do not see this app in your market, then you can do the DNS change manually thru your router admin access.
Search online for a tutorial on how to do this if unsure.
Use a public google DNS for this. The tutorial should show you that as well.

If this does not work, then if you have friends or family with an internet connection, take the box to that location and retry the update.

I am experiencing a glitch when attempting to load a portal that is not currently working.
DOL2 gets stuck with the Cancelling Connection page staying onscreen. I can't exit.
Powering off works to clear the screen but since that non-working portal is pre-set to connect, then every time I open DOL2 it fails and again is stuck on that Cancel screen.
So I uninstalled the DOL2 app (v1.9.92) and reinstalled the same version from the Market.
This way I have a clean slate in the DOL2 Portals.

Forced update in the middle of the night????

I woke up to my unit being off, so I turned it back on with the remote. First, it failed to load DOL2. Then it went into an update totally on its own. I never had that happen before.
When the update completed, it forced me through initial settings. I thought I lost the whole setup, but no. I found all of my network settings were fine. I manually started DOL2 and everything from there was fine. I did all this half asleep. So today I went back and looked at it. V2.8.92 and DOL2 1.9.93
That all appears to be correct, but that is what it was before.
What Happened?
Don't tell me bad dream. I woke up the wife with all of this.
Does not make any sense.

Maybe you had a quick power outage.They will act like that when they loose power.You will not get a connection till the box is restarted.Then all is good.I guess it's a protection so it doesn't automatically reconnect to a server.
