So, why was I IP banned from the forum again?

Just logged in for the first time in a while, and my home ISP is apparently ip banned.

Um... Why?

may be some kind of suspicious activity was performed with your ip by someone and system banned your ip. this is just my guess but only moderators can answer you better. :)

Nothing to do with anything you may have done. I have notified administration about this earlier.

Till this is rectified, use a VPN when this happens, or if it happens again

It happens to me when I'm surfing offline. It seems like a glitch, from my perspective, it's when your going between pages/threads to quickly. That usually how my IP gets "banned", when i see that page I wait about 15-30 seconds and refresh and it continues to work fine it I navigate slower.
