You may want to first upgrade to KitKat 4.2 OS...

just download the newest Kodi Helix for Android and install it on your box. All addons and libraries should be ported automatically to your new xbmc version. Worked for me on android phone, tablet and Windows8 installs.

Hi there tried to update MY Gica 1200 downloaded 4.2 file unzipped transferred files to sd card but didn't work. I tried exactly like video of how to updated box unplugged put pin in reset button on back plugged in held for 10 seconds but never shows updating always goes to the soft reset menus. It did this few times then it got stuck loading angry birds. So did soft reset and did wipe of it then installed PSI file back on it. I did manage to update to Kodi form 12.2 Frodo. Now how does one delete XBMC did delete Frodo one from cache cleaner but somehow reinstalled itself when box restarted. Any idea of how can update box to 4.2 can it be done by usb pen drive or would it mess up box.

xbmc will always reinstall if the box reboots no way around it as it is part of the firmware
you can have both on the machine it wont hurt anything
if your worried about cpu go to setting apps then force stop
I do that to keep cpu running low and keep the temp low as well

Delete the old in the Android Setting - App area then install the new one. Do not restart box between otherwise it will reinstall the old one.
