I'm a firmware believer with the exception of Smart Tv's which usually means more bloatware, adware and monitoring with more apps that do nothing. Its easy to stop checking for firmware updates when it comes to Android set top boxes and other devices which actually eliminate a lot of the bugs, freezing and other issues. Everything related to hardware in your computer is subject to firmware updates which I usually forget about. AMD has just released a new update for the AMD RX 5700 XT graphic cards which Sapphire and other AMD card manufacturers put out. Even knowing there are firmware updates, its easy to overlook your monitor, printer, mice and other firmware updates.
