Have a question. Have a route using on my Mag254. If I get a dreamlink T2... can I use the same route even with my Mac address is linked to it? Of course not using both at the same time. Just want to upgrade stb.

dreamlink's iptv app ,which is DOL2, does have a MAC address, yes.
You'd need to add that MAC onto your excisting code. You can at the website.


The Playlist method does not need the MAC atached.

The MAG model is different that way because the mag model always goes off the MAC (playlist or otherwise).

The Dreamlink works with MAC but when using m3u playlists then no MAC attached is what is needed.
The dreamlink is more versatile in that aspect :)
But Mag was first to use a m3u playlist and onboard with no adjustments to the MAC... the MAG was and is the fronteir receiver with m3u and MAC methods :)

I appreciate very much all that information. So Dreamlink T2 has a MAC address... O haven't got mone yet, but do you know if that mac is located on the box itself like the Mag? Sorry for so many questions

the MAC needed for the dreamlink is the DOL2 iptv app's MAC
You will see that as soon as you open the DOL2 app, it will show there.


The thing is that all these receivers use the same Stalker application that the MAG box uses (or a close proximity of) and need the MAC with the same the prefix as that Mag model (the first digits 00:1a:79)

The actual MAC of a dreamlink box will not be that, but the DOL2's MAC will be that, and that is the one to use.

And yes,the MAC for the DOL will be shown on a stickier too, on the underside of the box

simply, do not worry.
Once you get your dreamink, get the DOL2 MAC from it and enter that MAC onto your code at the service website and enter server URL on your new dreamlink and then all will work for you :)

if that T2 does not have DOL2 , then it will have MYTVOnline which is just another version of the Stalker, as is the DOL.

Change your timezone. Clock time will be wrong but the EPG guide will line up.
