EPG out of sync issue

I don't know about the rest of you all, but I never stop hearing from my family about the crappy EPG never being right. When is Dreamlink going to so something about this? Come on folks. Please do something. How about an EPG time offset? How about anything? I am not a complainer, but this has gone on for way too long now with nothing apparently being done. Come on Dreamlink. I have been a loyal customer for many years but you have me pushed into a corner now with this issue. Please do something.

Same here, used to be the software was tested before being released, now it seems not to be the case!

It just seems to me that a good temporary fix would be an adjustable +/- time offset for the epg. JMHO.

Want a good fix for the TV EPG time offset problem?
Use DOL for the VOD function only.

Download Perfect Player from Google Playstore.
Download an m3u Playlist Template and modify with your Donation /Server info.
Save and transfer via USB stick, to your DL (or Buzz) download folder.
Use Kens (or acidjesuz) EPG URL.

Watch TV with PP.
Watch VOD with DOL.

I live in the west coast, every day at 2 PM and 9.45 PM most channels freeze for only 10 min. then back to normal, is this normal

Who cares whose fault it is? Give me an offset tool or something to correct the EPG.
Come on. Just please fix it or patch around it or do whatever it takes to show the correct EPG for the current time.
This sux really bad not having an epg that shows correctly for the current time.
And it just keeps petering on and on like it is a complex coding issue. IT'S A SIMPLE OFFSET.
Come on Dreamlink coders. I know you can do it. You guys are good.
In my case, the show playing at 8pm shows on the epg at 12pm.
In my case, a -4 hour offset would fix the epg.
I presume that it would be the same for everybody but making it variable allows for it not to be the same.

The latest update that now allows for the m3u playlist option and ability to use an alternate epg source such as /kens is working great. This fixed all epg problems for me on the DLite. Independent of the epg issues I like the m3u method over the MAC method as you can customize your own channel lists.

Why doesn't the Dreamlink software work correctly? Why are they not fixing it?

It's not the STB's (DL /MAG /Buzz)
It is the backend server setup.
Dont know why, but it probably has to do with the Time Server source and the timezone they are using.
*Anything that asks the network of users to sync to the local NTP.Pool, should be based on UTC / GMT /Zulu.

ntp pool work for me on one box that i could add that too so yea why not use that? but again if it was that ez they would have done that long time ago maybe they should let us put time server in we want really i dont know how to get true epg wish i did but dont see nothing yea on any box wonder why its so hard all was off a few hrs sometimes only one hr

It should be possible to shift the epg over by what your timezone is though.. I ran through my epg, and for me it's about 6hrs off. There should be a setting option that would allow me to move my epg 6hrs forward.

I'm East coast and 6hrs forward means it's set for German time currently?? Unfortunate =[

Change your Timezone.
Your time will be off, but your guide info for what is on right now, should be correct.

In my case is not only the epg I don't care much about that, but all the channels are in the wrong order, I have to look allover the channels scroo down for a long time before I can find anything, I was told this is not a fix for IPTV66, I got the D T+

Just install Perfect Player and use that for accessing TV channels (uses an external guide source and requires you to make a custom m3u playlist from the Templates avail in m3u section).

Use the DOL for access to VOD only.
*at least until they fix the problem!

I would like to do what KENS has suggested and very much appreciate all the work he has put into making it work. However, it’s all like a foreign language to me. Is there a link to a step by step that I could follow to implement the alternate to DOL?

i spent several hours trying to implement but am purdy lost as to how to load it up on my Dreamlink T1 plus
