Old faithful wont connect and I should be able to correct it but I Can not.
-Kodi 17. running native stalker 2.8.6
-Mac starting in 00:1A:78
-long URL for portal one.
-16 digit serial number
-super long device ID that was generated by the old psycon add on, its a really long device ID.
-nothing in device ID 2
The only thing I did was change the portal. I been running fine on this new sub about 5 days but had some issues that prompted me to changed the portal.
I changed the mac, changed the portal and did a reset. Disabled the stalker, cleared guide data and rebooted.
still fails.
I waited overnight, still authentication failed.
So.. This AM I changed my disabled stalker, reset guide and TV data, changed my serial number a couple last digits and I did another reset. RE-booted, RE-enabled stalker....Still Failed.
Am I still hungover ? OH yeah on the site it says use a mac starting with 1A:78 but my auto generated mac starts with 00. It did work before so I have not messed with the first 2 of the mac.
any ideas? help is appreciated.

I went back and read this thread
http://iptvtalk.net/showthread.php?24831-PVR-Stalker-(Kodi-Built-in)-Set-up-tutorial
I regenerated the serial 13 digits and new device ID more than 13.
The reference to kodi live TV toggle on and off appear for Jarvis. In Krypton, I disable the Stalker Client , clear data for guide and live tv. Then did a reset.
I waited seems long time now.
Reload Krypton and authentication fail.

I posted the link to a new Video addon for kodi.

Use it instead. disable stalker.

Yessir, I did use that I am on that now. I am really thinking something simple. I recently noted that Dara posted to use the short URL now and I tried that too.:(
I will try to reset my account and wait and try the stalker again see how it shakes out. I will go into kens release thread and test that on another device and keep trying to get this Krypton rig back up.
You don't mention it anywhere, but you are using the Donation Number or Route Number for your user id and password, correct?

Hey Ilan,
Its not working LOL I have another sub running the new kens authored add on for kodi!
My stalker on my Intel NUC running stalker client is still not working. I am using the same credentials that worked this morning before I change portals. I have looked at it a 100 times. I reset the account again and I am starting to think Kodi is still holding something and not changing it. I keep telling myself I know how to do it.
TV29.db
epg11.db
has to be deleted from the userdata/database directory, then restart kodi.
(Stalker is finicky for setting changes???)

I would do that and set defaults in Stalker while disabled before re-configuring.

Hey Thanks so much for the advice. Just the facts here gentlemen. I UNINSTALLED Kodi 17.4. Installed 17.6 fresh start.
Configured native 2.8.6 stalker. Created a new serial and device ID to specs 13 characters for serial and 18 for the Device ID.
From this baseline, I changed the MAC upfront. Did a reset. Waited 15 mins.
Failed. HMM no kidding right.
so.. Then what started this all.
I changed the portal. Did a reset, waited 15 mins.
Login success...
I really don't know why P1 would not let me in. This all started when I wanted to get off of 1 and 2 and go back to 5 like my expired sub. I use a mag in the wife's room (LMAO really) that mags on P5 so I wanted to be able to monitor the status of channels on P5. she was bitching some channel was "skipping". So I didn't mess with hers. I tried to put my new sub on her portal. never got it, jacked my rig and I am still where I was. I think her issue cleared up but she isn't even here now!
So I am up and running but had to change the portal, I don't know why P1 wouldn't git in where I fit in. It is noteworthy that I changed ports twice the first night in order to hopefully get off 1 or 2. I noticed some else mentioned changing portal didn't get them anything but 1 or 2. Maybe its random, maybe it is not. I did it twice in one day in short time and never got back in until I did it again today all the same information in stalker except the portal. So simple.
Thanks again guys and FYI.

Stalker has always been a PITA and is too finicky. Back when I used it, it did take messing about with it for a few days to get it working. No such problems with Simple Client.
FYI when you make changes like you did in Stalker, as ilan said, click on defaults first and then make changes. But even before you do that, I would disable the addon and go into file manger > home > addondata > and delete the Stalker PVR directory. Then exit out to home screen and reboot Kodi. When you go back in and input your credentials, it should work. If not, use simple client. :)

Thanks for the information everyone. It really boiled down to having to change my portal. Anyone having issues like the one I described should probably check all the things we have discussed here. Thank you all.
