I would try a different player by going into your Settings and try changing to a different player as some players will provide both sound and video while some will only provide video with no sound. I think it might have to do with the audio codecs which the player may or may not have but its just a guess at best. Some HDMI cables will also cause this problem but it usually happens with all channels and not just a few. British channels seem to come up with this issue more than regular US channels.

I didn't know you could change players on a Mag 254?

I don't have a Mag 254 but you should be able to go into settings and look for media player or players settings to see if there is anything you can change. I have a few players as well as internal player, external player for when you want to download and use a specific type of player like Perfect Player, VLC Player, etcetera. Different players use different audio and video codecs you may have the right video but the wrong audio codec. BBC and IPTV players might be something to look at for British channels.
