ProgDVB EPG not working

A thread not talking about the freezing every 5 seconds, awesome right lol. Its still happening at peaks hours in case you were wondering....anyways

I have made the switch from KODI simple client to ProgDVB on my computer. The setup is relatively straight forward, however, I cant get the guide to work. Does anyone know how to get a working guide on the PC version. I insert the link (works in IPTV simple client) however fails to populate.

If I go under the EPG heading and try to update it from there, it literal goes through every channel one by one to load...yes that's right, there is over 7000 channels. Im sure that's not the way to load the epg.

Any help is appreciated.

The guides usually have around 300 channel listings.
It's your Playlist that has 7000 items.
You can download and save the playlist locally, then remove the sections you dont use regularly.
Remove the VOD section so you only have 900 tv channels.
Then remove the spanish and foreign so you are left with 500 English (Approx)
You can also make a playlist with just the VOD and load it when you want to watch movies.
Just an idea!!

Thank you so much for responding, I have taken you advice and now have a channel list of 300.

One more question please. Do I load the EPG using the Channel list>EPG section of the program?
When I do this another window opens, I click update and I see the source is not the EPG link I pasted in, it loads it from the channel list M3U?
