VPN set up for mag 254

Can someone post a step by step guide to set up the mag 254 with VPN if possible?

I have not received my Mag 254 box yet but after reading some posts on the forum

the channels are locked if you are located in the uk is this correct?

also can anybody point me in the right direction for a provider for the channels which has step by step instructions to set up to get all the channels working?
