Xpl 3000 update tonight

1. Fixed an issue with the YouTube search function that stopped you from searching for a video.

2. Fixed an issue where updating a "favorite" app would remove it from the "favorites" list.

3. Added a new Boot-up Logo and Boot-up Video.

4. Additional small bug fixes.

5. Resolved a bug that was causing issues with H.265 hardware decoding.

6. Removed the status bar. If you are looking for downloaded files, check the downloads folder in the file manager app.

This appears to be a box/server problem the only reason I say this is that some servers for epg work fine and some don’t it’s quite odd. My 2nd cousins paper boy has tried a few that are off by an hour and then some work dead on he said... odd

If yours is working, you are lucky. I know how to set the time and Time Zone. I have several boxes and they are all working well except this one. The time and time zone are set properly on the 3000, but the EPG is off by 1 hour like many others.

Mine sat at 0/4 for about 30 minutes and figured it was stuck. I hit exit, the home button, the power button and no response from the box so I figured it was stuck so I was just about to pull the plug and then it moved to 1/4. So I guess I'll let it set for a while......

Maybe only 15 minutes for me. Forced the update for the Live TV by pressing that button, and then when it appeared to stall at step 3, I hit the Home button, then went onto Kodi, then back into Live TV.

Don't blame me if you try this and you brick your box, but it isn't as drastic as powering off.

Mine is stuck at one. I had it at 1/3 for a while and so i rebooted and now its stuck at 0/1. Not sure how long its going to be. I did a reboot again but it keeps popping up 0/1 so i guess i will wait a little longer to see what happens.

Ok my buzz may be dead since i cant seem to get out of the upgrade. Its been a while and i cant use the box as it keeps popping up no matter what i do. I can reboot but thats about it.

upgrade took long time for some wait some time and try and hit ok thats what i did but best to wait could be server is very slow you get 1 to 4 right

Did you try different keys on your remote (not the power), such as "Live TV" or the Home key, or the Kodi button?

Hello, I have tried the upgrade and it completes however when I receive the dialogue box that says click yes to reboot immediately or cancel when I click yes, the dialogue closes and it it brings me back to the home page. it does not reboot.

I tried to reboot it numerous times and when it starts back up it tries to update again, prompts for the dialogue to click yes, and back to the home page. I also tried a manual install but still no reboot. I have tried sitting at the home screen for over half hour and still no reboot. Grrrrrr Any ideas what I should try next?

what i think at start they didn't give it enough time and rebooted that could be there problem was to fast thinking something is wrong box was very slow loading the 1 to 4 even i was thinking something is wrong but didnt touch it or reboot just clicked ok and was good to go thats why i post took long time

Thanks Marley,I think your message was in response to mine. I did give it enough time, over 1/2 hour and still no reboot. I just tried it again and for some reason it closes the dialogue box but never reboots:( Everytime reboot now and because I have automatic updates checked, it opens the installation, finishes this quick [Iguess cause there is nothing else to down] but same result [dialogue, click yes, back to homepage and no reboot]. Checked my about-version and still on old version. Any other suggestions would be great.

I just tried this Marley and same result. Is the file stored somewhere because I would like to delete it and have it download completely again? What I notice is that when I reboot/power up, the upgrade shows but it isn't downloading anymore. Quickly jumps to the dialogue that states it will be rebooted immediate, click yes or cancel.

for HelpMe, I'm trying to determine where the update is stored, but it may have been deleted after the completion of the update.

If you are still having issues, try doing a factory reset of the box, in Preferences> More settings > Personal > Reset.

Dara will this wipe out everything [kodi settings, live tv server addresses etc? i spent a lot of time configuring this and would hate that I loose everything:(

Unfortunately, yes. You may have no other recourse. You could try going to the Update app, and then trying a manual update, if it will let you. You could back up your Kodi configuration, if you still can get to Kodi and use a backup/utility add-on like Indigo.

I found that the BACKUP addon in KODI does not work with kodi ver 17.6 ..I use plugin.video.usbwizard-1.2.3.zip works like a charm (backup and Restore)

Yeah, unfortunate. I think the IPTV update is probably triggered by an action, waiting is 'safe' but if the update is waiting for a device request, it may not be seeing it on some boxes, or something like that. It shouldn't ever take more than a few minutes as the apk is pretty small, though imbedded in the OS.

I believe it is only for Kodi............it saves everything when you backup....even the shortcuts you may have put in

During the 1/4 part of the update it said "installing DTVPlayer" (which took a while), and I see DTV Player in the apps. I tried launching it and it says to connect the device and relaunch the player. I was thinking "what device" then it dawned on me, this is the app to run the over the air (OTA) broadcast channels on that USB device you can get for the Buzz. I had completely forgotten about that feature of this box. I was hoping the OTA channels would have been integrated into the live TV part of the box so that one could move from OTA channels to IPTV channels seamlessly instead of closing one app and opening another....Oh well. I still would like to look more into the OTA portion of this box.

I suspect you only underwent the Android system update in that amount of time. It indeed is fast. The Buzz TV update, however, is a long, slow process.

There might be ways to speed up the Buzz TV portion of the update by pressing some buttons on the remote (as some have related), but I chose to let it run its course. It took over 2:30 hours.

i'm sure it should of not taken that long i got lucky for 5 mins in the install part don't know how they tested it on there side but sure think it was lot fast for them and i bet they are reading all post still great box one of the best in my books now for epg part could be server too

Don't think Netflix was it. I removed Netflix and it came back after the update....I just removed it again.

Still sounds too large, maybe 60+mb. What version number for Netflix do you now have? Mine is 4.15.1 build 14947 with a size of 60.83 mb for the app.

Ok, now that makes sense for the total update, OS + apks. I don't think people are having issues with the OS update, but the embedded apk updates are where some people are experiencing the delays.

Just writing back to let everyone know I did a system reset as mentioned by Dara and now I have the latest update.

However, what I did notice with this update is that I used to have an orange harddrive light flashing while the box was working that no longer flashes. I only have a green one signifying power. Has anyone experienced this with the update? Also, when trying to point my apps (system-apps) to used my sd card returns an error stating there isn't enough space. Not true as the card has 60 gigs free. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
