Had the invalid format show up after a factory reset on mag254 if you need to get it back use composite cables then once it reboots go to settings and change to 1080p thought I bricked my new little toy hopes this helps someone else took me 2hrs

i may have a similar problem, i cannot get into the settings mode. when i reboot the unit using composite cables, i get the message output mismatch. with hdmi, i get the message: mode not supported. Resolution not supported. Change the resolution of the external device. I cannot get into the settings mode to change this. please help. how can u set it to factory setting ?

un plug plug it back in holding the remote button menu will fix this as well

I am having the same problem but when I go into the BIOS menu, I change the output and try to exit and save but it still Reads .....invalid format..... I have audio of channels but can't get picture

Hello, I have the black screen with "invalid format" I cannot get into any other screen. I've tried restarting with composite cables, I've tried restarting while holding down menu button, I've tried leaving it unplugged and NOTHING WORKS.
please help

Try a different tv
