Just did the Kodi update now all i get is a test pattern using a pc with Kodi 17.6 and potato tv nfps, anybody know how to fix this. Thanks

When you try to access a channel that is down using Potato TV, you get the test pattern. When you use it with IPTV Simple client and a channel is down, you get the "Working..." message.

I am getting the same thing, it was working fine now the test pattern. The funny thing is that I can get all of the porn channels.... my hand is starting to get sore... :)

Anyway I have reinstalled the couch potato repo and the potato tv addon. Also reset my MAC addy and reentered all the info in both the addon and the IPTV pvr addon.
Don't know what else to do besides reset my android box and reinstall everything.... pain.

If anyone has a better idea I would be most greatfull.

I still have the same problem i deleted app data ,deleted kodi and reinstalled, generated new token still no joy all channels, haven't checked the porn so my hands not sore yet.

There is a sequence you need to follow, to properly clear your data and do an IPTV Reset.
1st, since you are using the system wrong (testpattern), here is the link to setup potatoTV with Kodi and use the features.

After you setup PotatoTV, you won't have a guide
The guide sources in PotatoTV setup are no longer updating.
Use;

* PotatoTV Users
To change the guide source URL address;
- Go to System Settings/ Add-ons/ My Add-ons/ PVR Clients/ PVR IPTV Simple Client
- Click "Disable", then click "Configure"
- Click "EPG Settings" button
- Click in the "XMLTV URL" edit window
- Change the URL to the new URL, then click "OK" to save the settings
- "DO NOT ENABLE YET"
- Go to System Settings/ PVR&LiveTV/
Guide Tab - click "Clear Data" and confirm by clicking "Yes"
General Tab - click "Clear Data" and confirm by clicking "Yes"

-->> Now shutdown Kodi, go to Papiao and do an IPTV Reset.

Restart Kodi
- Go to System Settings/ Add-ons/ My Add-ons/ PVR Clients/ PVR IPTV Simple Client
- Click "Enable"

Channels and Guide will reload

I'm on p5 nfps server it was working fine for a long time all my settings were correct, using my laptop windows 10. i'll try you'r fix. i don;t know when i' ll get a chance to do it. Thanks for you'r help

The only thing you have to do to make it work is change the Portal number. I was having the same problems a few months ago with P1 portal and change it to something else. Now is working fine. Try it and let us know.

Still have same issue, I have changed servers, change mac #'s reset I don't know how many times, still get the test pattern. I am running kodi 17.6, I can get the guide but when I pick any channel or POV it comes up test pattern..... Very #&*Y^*E$&^@#( annoying. I don't know what changed but something did because I had it up an running before.

Everything looks good in the Donation Checker: Account shows Active, Portal address is proper, MAC address is proper? Are you choosing the portal in a pulldown within Potato TV or are you adding it as a custom address within Potato TV? If as custom, what exact address are you adding? Have you tried choosing channels from Potato TV directly, not through IPTV Simple client?

Thanks for responding. I am picking the portal set up by Potato, also tried choosing from Potato TV also nothing the same thing happens. I don't know but could it be the kodi 17.6 should I try downgrading... ? I just got a new android tv box octa core so I was hoping that this box would help on me getting IPTV since the IKS is down.

That isn't a beta version, so I think it should work. What happens when you choose CBS News, a couple of channels above CNN US? It doesn't require authentication, so if the channels are truly loading, it should work. If not, there's something fundamentally wrong.

It has been spotty at times. Test patterns on channels that don't work. And TBS has been broken for days. This is the nature of IPTV & IKS, always has been.

Please do not hijack this thread. This thread is not concerned with temporary server issues or personal observations about the server. It deals with a person having issues loading channels and getting authenticated.

Post general server issues and observations in your respective server area near the top of the home page.

Sorry I haven't gotten back to any of the threads, been busy lately. I did change my portal and nothing the same. I will try to reset everything over the holidays and start afresh and see what happens.

So I reset my IPTV then reinstalled and reconfigured potato and still get the test patterns. Every channel except nasa, some news channels, and the weather network. No VOD either the same thing.
()*$&(#@*&(#$ I guess I will retry changing servers again. It shouldn't matter if the guide isn't working as long as the PVR client is set up and running correct? This time I didn't bother changing the addy in Simple
Client until I had the channels working then I was going to try and get a guide.

Hard to tell what's going on. If you're absolutely sure everything is correct in your Donation Checker, you might try setting up PVR Stalker client to see if it will load and stream the channels.

I haven't heard that there are issues with K 17.6 and Potato TV. It doesn't seem like any of the recent updates would have been that drastic. If you don't have much invested in your 17.6 set-up, however, you might try installing an earlier version, like K 17.4, to see how things work in that environment.

Yes i watched the video 2 times, i deleted kodi and installed 17.1 and went back to potato 1.1.0.r2 and set it all up, reset iptv i can get the vod and 1 channel "london" the other channels are blank, i updated potato to r11 and installed kodi17.6 over top of 17.1. I get VOD and the 1 channel London,the other channels i get the test pattern. lol. Don't know what else to try. I did change the server also, i get the same thing through potato and the tv channels on kodi.

Yea i finally figured it out how stupid, i had installed Bit Defender on my comp about 2 months ago and hadn't used kodi for about 3 weeks so i didn't get the connection till now. so simple you have no idea how much deleting and installing and pushing buttons I've been doing, anyways thank for everybody's help.

Hi Freeloader1, glad to hear you got up and running. Did you go back to 17.6 or keep the older version of Kodi? I am using a Andriod box and getting the test patterns also so I don't know if I should try to reinstall lower version of Kodi (using 17.6) or just give up. Thanks

He's saying his antivirus blocked access. I don't think it would have made a difference which Kodi version he was using. You, too, should check those sources for a possible issue...antivirus, firewall, etc.

No it made no difference which version i used strange that it let vod through but not the channels
