Channels I'd like To See On IPTV

I am using a Mag254 with the free server @ http://1.iptvprivateserver.tv/.
It's very nice that they are getting many more new channels. :)
However, I find it extremely aggravating that they haven't taken the time to complete their programming guide.:mad:
Many of their Music and Adult channels have simply been assigned numbers and no other identification whatsoever. :(

Is their somwhere we can go to get the complete info on these channels?

More specifically, I like "Blues Rock".

Is their a Music channel for that yet?

These generic channels take time to know their content so for mucic I suggest going through them to pick to your liking make a note and perhaps invoke the Favorite list, Paladia is just before 404 and Concert in the 900s

Will have to see what happens with the names now EPG will be a big step forward.

Do not know if the proper names can be found at this time but many music channels have their logo onscreen.

Also, my DSL speed is currently limited to 1.5 for my area.
I noticed that most of the numbered Adult channels don't stream as well as the named channels. :(

Is their a specific reason for this issue?

Paladia 374 is same as on USA sat is similar to the Concert channel, I like VH euro 924 for oldies.

!.5 is a bit low for some channels but the Adults have been freezing according to members comments also you have to be 18 years or older to view.

Is the provision of a normal, timely-updated channel info/guide (on the TV side) going to be too big of an issue for them to handle?
Another thing that I am not real happy with is the fact that we have no closed-captioning available.
Considering the way they are making "modern" movies today - we constantly have to turn the volume all way up just to be able to hear what the actors are saying but - when we do that - my windows "get blown out" as soon as their is any loud action or music! :(

It has been stated that a EPG would come will to see when, more channels have to be loaded so it may come when they are finished (just guessing) the CC could be added but probably on the back burner and server have no say in how the movie audio is implanted, some TV do have the option to even out the audio highs and lows but for me think it would detract from the movie experience.

In time many of the irritants will be ironed out.

I don't think it's realistic to expect any EPG or extra features until the channel list is finalized and in place..and it DOES take a lot of extra work for an EPG. I think the service will very capably be up to the task. I also believe the work on HD will take place before any EPG..of course, this is all just my opinion..

Just want to say that I am really impressed with the relatively fast pace at which the iptv private server experience is being improved. When I log on each day the first thing I do is to scroll down to the end of the channel list to see if new channels have been added. I then try to see if I can identify those if there are any.

I keep looking out for the GSN and Enc**re West**n channels as those are 2 of my most watched. So far though, no luck. Anyway, it kind of adds to the fun. After all, we are all pioneers here, never quite knowing what lies around the next bend, not withstanding all the plans, expectations and goals each of us has. Sometimes there are pleasant surprises and sometimes not so good.

PS Noticed we are up to 600+ channels today, up from 500+.

I am not sure if this is the proper area for this post but here goes. As I understand after checking out the posts. The free iptv is about to become a paid one. That's fine with me. I think it is going great and will be well worth the bucks to have it to play with. My question is: The original channel list given to us included most all the DN lineup which we are now enjoying. However they have had only one encore movie channel since the movie channels were implemented, that being channel 340. Has been no new channels added since 5/09. Do you think the rest of encore will arrive before they go private? If not, after private will they still be changing and adding channels. Bit of an obscure one but down here in Australia, our biggest sporting code (AFL) is broadcast on PayTV on a channel called Fox Footy channel. Would be awesome if this was available through IPTV. Being able to create a wishlist is great, I would also love it if we could create a wish list Channel Line Up to see if we could arrange the order better as there are a lot of good channels that are being missed because they are in between weird slots or group channels.

In general I like "sort of" how it is, BUT would love the UK Channel to be lined up from 101, BBC1-101, BBC2-102,ITV-103 a bit like Skys order, just becuase its weird having ITV on the 80 slot, BBC1 on the 100 and a mix of UK and US channels, also due to the time, it's not primetime in both countries so you have a weird mix of things. I think 001-100 slots should be saved for US entertainment and 101-200 to UK Entertaienmnt. The 300 Slot is OK, Movie Premium Channels, but would also include General Movie Channels.

Having said all that, a SERVICE I would love is Catch-UP for some channels, last 7 days would be great, 14 better. Once again this is just a wishlist I know, but who says wishes cant become true?

The answers is that those channels are the ones from ClaroTV service, and that satellite doesn't have CBS. I think they will have to upload the ones they had before (from NY) in order to have all 4 local stations.

suggestion is to use the HD version of these premiere sports channels. sd look good in the channel count but if you have to use your imagination to figure out one player/car/team number it just doesn't seem right. i thought these lessons were learned with fta. on a plus note..fta is down with an ecm today. 1/2 full is better than nothing. but i think we can do better.

Fred, I ask you to think of your request in terms of feasibility. Your networks are only on spotbeams, meaning access would require local seeders. Due to the size of the market and practicality of this request, I would rate your chances of this happening as slim to none, sorry my friend..

Wow! I'm with you kcmood I love the Westerns Channel 342 :) all the Encore channels are great and thats all I have seen is one Encore channel from the beginning, this might sound stupid but; I pay for Comcast and my tv stays on the western channel 90% of the time I'm really hoping that they can work it out for us to get all those great Encore channels and especially the WC on the new service. Do we have any other western buffs on here?
