Yeah, I've already been playing with the record feature. Some work is still needed. They said it's still in test and more updates are to come.

Anyone having issues with VOD? I have 2 different servers and was able to watch G.O.T. and Curb Your Enthusiasm on Monday night but every time I search and find an episode and click to play it, I get kicked out and sent back to the main menu. The behavior was the same for both of the servers.

watched a vod on two different servers, had no issues
Well, I tried recording. It does record however the Buzz box won't let me pick an external source. I have an SD card plugged in and wanted to use that. This card is slow so that may be the reason I can't select it; I'll try another card later.
(edited) I plugged in a hard drive via USB, had the Buzz format it and I was able to select it when trying to record but the Buzz would not record to it. It will only record to internal memory.
After I hit record the video seems to go wacky. The video freezes while the audio keeps going. The video starts moving but then is out of sync with the audio. The video will catch up eventually to the audio then it will freeze completely....then it will start up again. Not really watchable. However, when I go back and watch the recorded file it plays just fine; no freezing, no out of sync audio, etc..
After I hit record, I'll be damned if I can figure out how to stop the recording. The "stop" button on the remote (the white square at the top of the remote) does nothing. Hitting the red button again (the record button) does nothing. I had to change the channel a couple of times to get it to stop recording.up to cancel recording
(edited) I figured out how to stop the recording. While the Buzz is recording hit the "info" button then hit the "red" button and you will be given the option to stop the recording.
More playing around with this is definitely needed.
I did get a few glitches on video but not too bad and I did not have any sync issues When I hit the red button while recording I get a box pops to cancel recording
Like you say more work to be done and they are working hard

very weird...some of the content works fine. Its random as my kid watched a movie as well.
would you mind testing with the new season of curb your enthusiasm?

Well, whatever was in this update has made the Live TV unwatchable. Every channel I try to watch will play fine for about a minute then the screen goes black and I get that pop up "steam not available please try again later". The screen comes back after about 5 seconds and the channel plays for about 10 seconds until the video freezes but the audio keeps playing. This will go on on for about 20 to 30 seconds until the video starts moving but in fast forward mode until it catches up to the audio. It will now be in sync for about 5 seconds then freeze all together. I'll then get the pop up again "steam not available please try again later" then the channel starts playing again, then it may play fine for about a minute then all of a sudden a section of the video/audio that just played will repeat itself. This happens time and time again. It's a constant cycle and just makes for a very bad viewing experience. I fire up the AVOV box and it plays just fine; no buffering no video repeating no out of sync audio with fast forwarding video, etc. so I know it's not my network or the server. I hope Buzz is aware of this and is working on correcting it because otherwise this box has become useless to me.

After this update the live TV seems to be playing now without the issues I mentioned above in post #9. However now there seem to be new issues that have arisen. No matter what I do I cannot get the categorizes to stay on any option other than "cinema". I select all channels and I get the list for all channels but as soon as I select a channel the categories goes back to cinema. When I bring up the guide I only get whatever channels are under the cinema category. I simply cannot get the guide for channels not in the cinema category. Also, the guide is now 30 minutes off. The clock on the Buzz is set to the correct time/zone, but the guide is behind by 30 minutes and I cannot see anyway to adjust this.

I think you have to go to all channels and then actually choose a channel to view......that should kick you out of the cinema mode

Was experiencing this same thing with the 2000 and I posted about it. Then in the release notes for three 3000 couple days ago I saw it was mentioned as being fixed..... Welp.....

Ok, I may have spoke to soon about being stuck in cinema mode (I mean I was stuck in cinema mode). I rebooted the Buzz box and I now seem to be able to to select other categories and stay in those categories. Will keep playing with it.
The guide however is 30 minutes off and rebooting didn't correct that. If I'm on a channel and select info, the information that comes up is correct about the show that's on but when I hit the guide button the information in the guide is off.

They've been working on the services here. It is likely that your issues are related to this routine maintenance and not to the box.

I thought the server may have been having issues, but when I fired up the AVOV box I didn't get the same problems; everything played fine so that would eliminate the server. After this latest update, all the channels seem to be playing fine on the Buzz box now.

Ok, I have figured out what triggers the issue of getting stuck in a particular category. As I posted before, I was stuck in the "cinema" category and could not get out of it. After rebooting I was able to get back to "all" category. This evening I again got stuck, this time in the "entertainment" category. I have figured out what is triggering this bug; direct channel input. If I fire up the Buzz TV and all channels are selected I can scroll through the list of channels on the left side and select any channel just fine. However, if I'm on channel 300 HBO and want to go to AMC channel 131 and don't want to scroll through the entire list of channels to get to AMC, I will type in "131" and go directly to AMC. This causes the Buzz TV to select the category AMC is in which happens to be "entertainment" and now I am forever stuck in this category unless I reboot the box. Yes, I can select "all" again and get the list of all the channels and even select them but when I check the categories list again I'm back to the category I'm stuck in. Also, when I pull up the guide I only get the channels in the category I'm stuck in. I cannot find a work around for that except rebooting.

It doesn't matter if you input the channel number directly, if you scroll through the ALL category and select a channel in sports category, when you go back to the guide only the sports category is highlighted.
No matter what you do, you will get stuck in the category of the selected channel.

Hmm, I've not been able to duplicate that. I can select a channel from the list and it works fine for me. I only get stuck in a category if I input a channel number directly. Hopefully they get this bug worked out. Of course I have only posted any bugs I find here so I don't know if Buzz reads these or not or if we should be reporting this stuff elsewhere.

Well in the last release notes it said the favorites issues was fixed, and yes this issue first aroused from the favorites category and I brought it to light. Mind you, I'm speaking based on the 2000 version since I don't have the 3000 so for you, duplicating the issue I have may not work for you, hence the fix in the last release. The 2000 hasn't had the update pushed to it as yet so I can't duplicate your issue either.
Just keep trying and experimenting bro so we can give detailed feedback to iron out this issue because it is the only thing that frustrates me with the buzz.

It's safe to assume that there is likely a buzzrep or atkeast a reseller or two with a bit of pull to report bugs. As it seems when there's discussion about it here its normally in the next release notes for a new update..nothing in life is a coincidence

I know so hopefully it gets sorted very soon
Not much point in donating rcvrs to get a forum for feedback if you don't read it or make arrangements for someone to do it

Played with the record feature this morning. Something has changed since the last time I used it. The recording feature is completely unusable. I turned to TBS hit the red button I get the record menu (still can't select any other option than internal memory) and the recording starts and the little red "rec" icon is in the upper right corner. After about 15 seconds the picture freezes solid. At this point I'm not sure if the Buzz is still recording or not. I let it sit this way for a bit and the red icon in the upper right corner goes away; the picture never starts back up again. Still not sure if it's recording or not but since the icon is gone I assume it's not. I click the red button again and I get the record menu to start the recording so I figure the recording has stopped. I cancel and go back to the frozen picture. I try to change the channel to TNT and I get a pop up saying that if I change the channel the recording may be stopped. Ok, so which is it? Am I recording or not??? I go to the menu/PVR and there is a recording there. I can play it but the recording is only 15 to 20 seconds long. I delete this recording and go back to live TV but TBS is still frozen. If I go to menu/exit and leave the app then go back in TBS plays fine.....until I hit record again and the whole process starts over.
