Where do I go to change the MAC addy on my ARRIS SBG6782?
Then I beg the question: "how to change the MAC addy?"
It has been years and older Surfboard routers.
Thanks!

the Arris is a router :)
The Arris Routers do not have the IP address or User name and Password, tagged on the bottom, like most routers do.
To get into the routers panel, you would normally type the router IP into your Web Browser and that opens the panel so you can enter User ID and Password to get full access.
But .. the Arris does not show you the IP on the bottom side of the router, so to get that IP , the Arris is a bit different, far as my experience. You would need to access your router first thru your computer (thru Networking) then it may ask you if you wanna set your arris to sharing or something like that, answer yes and then your router icon will appear. Open that and the panel will appear with IP showing in web browser.
Now enter the User ID and Password.
Most Arris user names are ... admin
Most Arris passswords are ... password
admin = User Name
password = Password
But some are different. Just google search a table for Arris routers , I found one at PortForwarding.com
Arris is limited at what you can do in their administration panel, I do not know if a MAC change is available as an option, but check it out.
Or you can get IP from your Comand Prompt (somewhere in there) thru your Windows OS... Then simply paste that IP into your Browser and go to it :)
