Reseller vs Retail account

I am about to purchase over a dozen rockets and want to use the reseller option. What does it mean when they say the rockets are not activated? Does it mean I have to activate them myself? IS this an issue? Are there any other differences?

Also, can I activate each client for a full year?

You basically have the right idea. "Resellers" get access to a panel where they control when a rocket gets activated, and can also deactivate a rocket, for example for non-payment. Your rockets do not expire until one year after activation, unlike Retail where they are activated immediately. Yes you can activate a client for a full year, but that's it.
