can someone explain why the system go down everyday around 6 sometimes comes back in 15min sometimes and hour it's been this way for months

Cannot help you out with that one. At 6:00 I am watching local news. At 8:00 mine is working fine. Posting just to let you know some of us are out here. There is nothing worse than asking a question and not getting an answer. Been there, done that.

No, ur not the only one experiencing this. I've noticed this lately, over the past several months, around 6pm Eastern, when live TV channels seem to just freeze/crap out for around 5-15 mins or more, on a couple of MAG254 STB's, 75-100Mbs, hard-wired, different geo locations and ISP's.

I've also noticed similar / predictable freezing approximately 2 minutes before the top of the hour, at various times throughput the day and evening, on live TV channels, where it requires either going into the EPG/ Guide, pressing the right arrow on the remote a couple of times, then backing out, or changing the channel with up or down arrow, then returning to the channel that froze at 2 minutes before the top of the hour in order to get it to resume playing again.

Weird, and annoying, isn't it?
