Freezing ?

For the most part the freezing has been unbearable for me during this testing period.

And not just TV even the VODs are freezing.

Wondering lately based on the forum if its just my set up or if it is a network issue. I have a apple tv connected to my network and it streams perfectly fine in HD.

The questions I have are

Are other people having this freezing problem ?

People who aren't having freezing problems what is your buffer setting ? mine is set at 0

Anyone out there who has had freezing problems and have fixed it what did you do ?

i've noticed freezing on live tv on some channels but it;s ok on vod..i have buffer at 2 downloads at 22.5...

Thanks fxdwg. Will change my buffer settings to 2. Can you tell me a channel that is working without any freezing so I can check from my side and see if its Ok.

364 for example is good ..check it out.

i have never touch anything for buffering i dont get it well should not say that i do on some channel on one day and good next me i think its the server doing it still in testing stage but internet has lot to do with it and router and did you use dns 8.8.8.8 now i get this on few channel they run at 2x with no sound try different channel and its good

Thanks fxdwg and asft. Tested the 364 and it was freezing. Download speed 6Mbps and using google dns.

Just wait till the testing is over to test again lol

fxdwg and asft what firmware are you using for the mag254 ? I am using r11

asft you were right thanks. it was the dns server. not sure how it could change inside my router. This is third time I am having this happen. It's as if something keeps changing the dns server in my router after I type in google dns sever and save it. Finally enjoying service and the TV Guide helps a lot
