Hey just an FYI for all MAG256 users that an update seems to be available for the box. Dated June 30, 2017. Version 2.20.03-256

No idea what's included in this release. I will update soon and post back.

Make sure you flash the firmware twice in a row (you'll end up back on the same NAND slice flashing 2x) and many folks (myself included) have had some odd issues until we double flashed.
If you have issues after 2x update flash, please follow the reset procedure (you will lose all settings except for portal servers)

I was just about to message infomir regarding when the best update would be pushed!

Hi, just did the double download. Cant see any obvious changes so far. Be interesting to see what they've done.

I saw a new icon in the inner portal (I think). Something like "MagicCAST"?

I'll see if I can dig up the changelog because even I'm not too sure!!

I've noticed that since too. The other thing I spotted was a loading bar each time a channel opens now

With my 256, I have it set to ask before updating. If you reboot the box it should display a message saying an update is available. Follow the instructions as as above fo it twice. Im not a tekky so dont know why you have to do it twice.

Hi, The only bug this new firmware has fixed seems to be the Volume stability. The favorites selected still don't work very well, especially if you have selected favorites which channel numbers are not continuous. The recording problem is still unsolved. The 254 is able to record, so the 256 should also be able to record.
