Came across this and it states that its a fork of Kodi and will act as if kodi 17. was installed on T1 with no problems, my question is will this prolong the life of T1 or is the T1 ready to become obsolete as stated in earlier post....Thanks Steve2

The T1 is fine...................because the T1 and T1-plus use an android version that is not compatible with Kodi 17.....the FTMC gives you what is missing in Kodi 16 .....and adds what kodi 17 has......so it is just like using kodi 17......FTMC is good...I use it

FTMC has python 2.7 which allows https sources to be played.
And it can be installed on boxes that are on Android 4.4
so yes its a good solution but I would get a box with better specs.
get a nvidia shield and don't worry about boxes for a long time.
shield is on android nougat (android 7) and they have an upgrade path to future android updates.
