Recording

Hi guys
I am new here. I have just got my Mag254.
I have plugged in a external hard drive.
But when I try to record a programme I get
Recording this channel is forbidden
I am trying to record BBC News.

Also the programme list is not showing any programs for all the days.

Please can you help.
I am pleased with the box so far but would like
to sort out the problems.
