Hi All,

I recently both a Mag 254, I tried to search for this info but no luck.

I have created my list (m3u) however is very long list 2000 channels circa, I divided the list by sub-category, and in Kodi in my pc they recognize this sub-category I.e. Italy, UK, Sport.

I added the channel list to my Mag as it is but I can see all the channels but unfortunately with no sub category, is there a way to see the subcategory like in kodi?

Thanks

I think best you can do is make separate m3u playlists with each category and name them accordingly. Then load them all onto Mag or use thru USB. You would have to switch between each list thou to get other category.

Or edit your playlist in such a way that only channels you want are included, and just work with the one edited list.

You can also save channels onto the Mags system with the yellow button when viewing channels thru the USB method ( I think it is the yellow button).
Post #2 in thread linked below, explains that somewhat better.
And I never tried but maybe can save channels in seperate lists that way too, but I never looked into that part.

In case there might be some editing functions you are not sure of, this next link may explain some editing functions thru notepad or notepad++ and VLC Player/Editor
