VLC multicast over the Internet

Hello everybody! I have got a question. I know multicast is not possible in the public network.
My question would be that, is there any solution to make it work somehow ?
Maybe with VPN tunnels or anyting ?

i too have wondered this,, it is a complex setup, and those that have tried although technically succeeded, the video becomes jittery and choppy, to the point most abandon their projects..
