brand new brick

I got a brand new box today and was setting it up, right after the reboot for automatic updates, now all I have is a black screen, I can un-plug the power cord, and get it to a reboot screen, but when it leaves that to go to the next all I get is black, any help?

I don't think its a good time to set up a box, the server is under a 36 hour system maintenance since 12:00pm yesterday, unplug unit then plug it back in try using the menu key to get to settings, its the small round button at the lower left of the OK button, upon boot press repeatedly until it goes to menu, hopefully this will get you to a point that you can sort out your issues.

Check your Internet, Black screen most time is when it is trying to connect to the portal but can not.

If it does not come back you can get into the BIOS and get it back to what you had when you opened the box. Hold down the menu button on the remote, (the button on the left with the three lines on it) and while holding it down and pointed at the box plug in the power and you should get into the BIOS where you can reset it etc.

ah that makes sense as mine is acting up as well. Where did you get your notice of this 36 hr system maintenance information ?
