Simple Client will not open in Krypton

I just installed Openelec 8.0/Krypton 17.1 and have found that the PVR Simple Client has an error, and will not open. Trying to enable it crashes KODI

did you try re-installing from scratch again? i know that is an obvious thing to try, lol, is openelec and kodi 17.1 compatible with the device you are installing it on? don't know how to interpret the log but most likely someone on this forum can help with that, good luck...

The IPTV Simple Client DLL File is corrupt and wont load properly.
See if you can get a copy of that file and overwrite the bad file.

Here is the way I have been loading new versions since the beginnining. I take a current backup up all my data over the years in openelec. Then I install the vanilla version of the new release. Then I copy
that backed up file into the new backup folder. Then I restore from that backup file, and all my system is back the way it was.

Would really appreciate your help trying to walk me thru copying this Simple Client file.
Don't forget I use Linux, and copying files to me is not that clear cut.

To clean up my install, and maybe remove some of the crap, I installed again from scratch. I noticed that even after installing from scratch, the PVR Simple Client file STILL came up corrupted. Maybe you can look at this new log, taken after installing from scratch, and see if the system looks any better than it did before.

Found problem to be OpenElec 8.0 install. After numerous problems, I switched to using LibreElec. All problems now solved including the install for
PVR Simple Client.
