View Full Version : Your STB is blocked. Call the provider
So on initial set up using mag 254 rocket... when you enter portal name "rocket" then URL http://11.iptvrocket.tv/ then click restart portal and instead of loading ... "Your STB is blocked call the provider" message pops up. I've unplugged a few times did a factory reset a few times nothing seems to take that dreaded message away. Is there any way to fix this like maybe a different URL ,any suggestions and help would be appreciated Thank you

Both of those threads can be found in the Announcements forum found at the top of the site :)
Thank you Crazed . I always read the announcements before I post I've tried that new URL before posting ... no luck. How do I do an iptv reset in the in the rocket site when I only have a MAC address. This is all in the initial setup before the donations are even entered . Thanks again for your time

do you have the 12 digit donation number and the 16 digit Order number ?
If not then did you buy from a reseller ?
If that is the case you will need a Client ID which the reseller should have gaven you.
I can probably find that Client ID for you. Send me a private message with your numbers and email and I will search for that Client ID if needed.
Right click my name for message options
Yes I have both crazed but because this is all happening in the initial setup the blocked message prevents me from entering the donation numbers

oh I see. Okay maybe disconnect the internet from the Mag and then reboot the Mag and try again to get into the Server credentials menu setup.
That may be the easiest way, but not the only way. If you get the credentials entered, do not use the Connect option yet.
First before connecting the internet again, go to server webpage and set your MAC and do a reset there too. Then connect internet and try that Connect option in that credentials menu
Thank you for your time and suggestions Crazed

You can also use the setup button just below the blue button. That will get you into the portal where you can get into the server menus and then into the credentials menu.
Can't seem to find a way to get into the credentials menu from system settings and the server menu

"System Settings" menu and now go to Servers.
Click "Portals" and enter your server info
Then into Portals or Restart Portal and the credential menu should pop up
The problem is after clicking on restart portal is when the STB blocked message comes up. I can't get past that point!

is this mag box new ?
If it is used, then possibly another code is on there already.
If not then, there are two portals that server info can be entered into.
You need to exit that block message thou. Does not that Setup button take work ?
If not then you may have to do a reset thru the BIOS menu and that should erase everything onboard.
The only way that message is appearing is because the portal must have a an old set of server credentials already entered. If you can get past that blocked message then you could enter new info into that second portal, then at start up there would be a portal selection screen come up (because you have two setup)...
But a full reset might be in order from the BIOS menu
Check the Mag 254 forum Sticky threads for the direction for that.
Yes it's a used box. My used box ! I was going to sell this box and did a factory reset in the BIOS then I decided to keep it, and got a new donation for it. I've done many factory resets since in BIOS with no avail . Is there another way to get rid of the old server credentials?

How to enter the BIOS
Power off STB.
Press and hold the «menu» on the remote (or the power button on the front panel).
Without releasing the «menu» (or the power button on the front panel) Power on STB MAG200/250.
If there is no image on the screen maybe your TV doesn't support PAL system.
If there is no image then complete next steps:
Unplug power of STB
Press and hold “Menu” button on RC (direct your RC to STB)
Plug power on STB with holding “Menu” button
Hold “Menu” button during 10 seconds.
Switch PAL - NTSC with single press on red button “F1” on RC.
Firmware version and device information
To enter in BIOS menu.
Choose «Upgrade Menu» and press “right” on the remote control. If this step is missing, go to next step (this step can be absent if the second copy of bootloader doesn't on).
“Device info” and press “right” on the remote control:
“Vendor” - Manufactory identifier.
“Model” - Model identifier.
“Ver. Hardware” - Version of network board realization.
“Serial Number” - Serial number.
“MAC address” - Physical address of network interface.
“Loader Info” and press “right” on the remote control:
“Version Number” - Bootloader version (if the second bootloader is on, then you will see the second bootloader version).
“Date & Time” - Date and Time of bootloader version.
“Image info” press “right” on the remote control:
“Version” - Software version.
“Description” - Full version description.
Reset in BIOS
Enter The BIOS.
choose “Def. Settings”.
press the right.
confirm by pressing the “OK”.
Select “Exit & Save” to save and exit. STB will reboot automatically.
Maybe, it will be necessary to change boot mode: “NAND”, “NAND2” or “DHCP”.
Enter The BIOS.
Select “Upgrade Menu” , right click on the remote control.
Select “Boot Mode” and pressing the remote control right to set the boot mode DHCP, NAND or NAND2.
Select “Exit & Save” and press on the remote control to the right.
Confirm “OK”.
c/p from BIO
After you factory reset your box, dhcp and tftp loading is the default.
To get back to booting correctly unplug and plug back in the box, then menu into bios again.
Once there go to "Boot Mode" and right arrow to change it to "NAND" or NAND2"
Then scroll down to "Exit & Save" and right arrow, then "OK" to save and reboot.
Mine did an update after it rebooted, so let the update load and it will reboot again by itself.
It will boot into where you see "Home Media", IPTV Channels" "Internet Bookmarks" Etc. screen when finished- just like when you first plugged it in out of the box.
Please note that any time you press the "OK" remote button in the bios, give it time to work because it takes a few seconds.
