Jimmie messed up and flat spotted all his tires during Qualifying.
Bad news is that them tires are the tires that he must start the race with. But he can not and has to start race with a different set of tires.

It is like a blown engine during qualifying. If you change your engine or use a back up car, you start at the back.
The tire thing falls under the same ruling

Jimmie Johnson, the Rear Admiral, wins again from the back. Good strategy by Joey Logano, but Kyle Larson beats him for 2nd, and Ryan Blaney with two stage wins.
