can u put kodi 17.1 on amazon fire tv box 1 gen ?

have a fire tv 1st gen fire tv box , its rooted, been trying to put kodi17.1 on it , can not get it on , tried with abfire , downloader, es file explorer, can kodi 17.1 go on 1st gen fire tv box, if so how ?

well in abfire , it starts but nevers takes , in downloader and es file explorer , it keeps bouncing me out after it downloads , wonder if its where my fire tv is rooted , but never had problem before in abfire , did my friends fire tv 2 in abfire , worked 1st time ,tried mine 10 times ,still no go

i got gen 1 stick and installed 17.1 no problem using adb fire or app called downloader from amazon store. Get that downloader its so simple just type in this into the downloader app bit.ly/kodi171 the htttps already filled out. This is possitvely easiest way of putting kodi on a firestick.

[mine is fire box and rooted , diff than the fire stick , still havent got kodi 17.1 on it , starting to think where its rooted may be the problem ,may have to unroot it

The Amazon Fire and Fire Stick does not need to be rooted to install kodi..
