View Full Version : Kodi 16.1 Retiring in DL T1?

I received two boxes of T1. I installed Kodi 16.1 from the market. It downloaded and installed OK. I added repositories thru a USB drive. However, when I want to enable video add-ons in enabled repos, nothing is there. I also tried to install / add new skins in Kodi, there's no more option to add skin (get more) only, cancel. Same issue with the second box. Firmware upgraded to the latest. I did factory default, same issue.
I grabbed an older T1 that I have configured Kodi months ago. Tried to grab new skin, it shows fail. It seems that Kodi 16.1 would be retiring and it would no longer connect to the Kodi server. It wouldn't also allow new video add-ons even in my older T1.
There's no option for Kodi 17 or higher in the Market. I also tried SPMC from the Market but same issue.
Dreamlink team, any comment? Maybe, a newer firmware with a newer version of Kodi is necessary?

Currently the Kodi server is down so it is not DL. Please stand by for further developments on Kodi!!
I dont know why you are having issues with repositories Maybe do it without using a thumb drive
A far as kodi 17 os would have to be upgraded

I also manually added the super repo URL under file manager. Did install zip. Went to install from repo, add video add on then it failed. Definitely the Kodi server is down like Laser mentioned. I just tried two other android boxes (not DL) and both of them have the same issue. The problem is with the Kodi server for sure.

Let's all just take a moment, there are reports of an April Fools joke, and also Kodi just tweeted to do not panick and that they are working it, So they might have gotten hacked is also a possibility, So let's wait and the truth will come out.

its a good one if it is !
why would issues with the official kodi website affect anything? It would only stop you from downloading kodi
You can get working links from tv addons

The Kodi website thing is a different issue. The kodi server that is responsible for video apps installs, new skins download, etc. is also down. You could try it by yourself if you want. I'm not the only one who is having these issues since yesterday.
Open your Kodi and download a new skin. Post your result in here.
